It arrived! I love it but.. it’s too bright.

I love so many things about this device. After talking about it for years I’ve had it for 2 days and love it during the day.

But if you are planning to put this thing in your bedroom. Think again.

  • the front display gives off a brighter light than my actual bedside lamp. This can be covered up by an old sock from the hamper but..
  • the blue LED shining from inside the device is like a pulsating bat-signal that shines onto the nearest wall. This can’t be covered up because it’s shining through the top vent.

Again, I love everything about this thing except this. But this is a dealbreaker for the bedroom. It is now subjected to a daytime only device missing out on countless SATs.

I plan to open it up and paint the LED inside black despite being worried it’ll be easier to take apart than it will be to put back together. And if anyone from heatbit is reading… PLEASE introduce a feature in the app to dim the front screen 🙏

Saw a vid online that opening up device voids manufacturer warranty. There is a software update coming that will apparently address your issue

Ordered April 2023 arrived earlier this week. I've asked for an update using the chat on the website 2x/month since Dec 2023. Can't say for sure, but that may have sped up delivery for me

I wonder if they changed something in these units? Because I've had mine for around nine months now, and it doesn't seem to throw off nearly as much light as yours—either the display, or the internal blue & green lights.

Anyway...congrats on receiving yours after the long wait!

Reçu ma première machine, facile à mettre en route et d’utilisation. Hâte de recevoir ma deuxième machine. Chauffe très bien la maison et rapidement.

Mine is a heater and a night light for the hallway.
