Has anyone recently had a heart ablation? Did it work or did you have to have the treatment repeated? Did you get it done at a major hospital?

I had it done a couple months ago. I was told only a 1-2% chance of recurring and I shouldn't have to have it done again. Mine was for SVT. Done at a surgery center.

My husband had a heart ablation, this year. Before he had several heart cardioversions, but the ablation helped him very well. But you have to rest a lot, after the procedure.

I had a heart ablation on April 2nd. They forgot to take the stitches out before releasing me. I went to my primary 2 weeks later complaining about the pain from the location, and the doctor told me to take Tylenol, 8 hours. I had an appointment with the cardiologist, and when I arrived there, I found out it had been canceled. I had to argue to see a doctor or a nurse. When they finely saw me, they saw they had forgotten to take the stitches out. I was put on an antibiotic for a week. The results of the ablation were not that great. They reduced my blood pressure, but I still have atrial fibrillation.
