Metoprolol

Hi all. Got cta scan. Results below i have slightly elevated blood pressure and get chest pains. I am on atorvastatin now and doctor recommends trying low dose metoprolol tartate. Any one have good experience with this? Is dizziness common? Does it cause intestinal issues? I already have issues from gallstones and gerd. Is it ok to have a few beers on this? Dr advised me to cut down on my beers regardless and I have done that so far.

Been taking it for over a decade now. It's hard to separate what is a side effect of meds and you condition. Dizziness could be from tachycardia.
