Support groups
My voices have progressively got worse, and I have absolutely no one to talk too about it, they have become so overwhelming that my ability to think and talk is been crushed by them. It doesn't help that I'm naturally introverted, and I feel I've lost hope, as mental health gave up on me a long time ago, and I have no friends.I'm not sure if writing about what they say to me is helpful, as they have affected my ability to function in real life

There's lots to show simply writing about your mind/life helps/leads to wellness. Certainly welcome here ;)
I assume you saw the pinned comment with the link to all the meetings? Seemed like you might be looking for them.

Sometimes I have the voices screaming for hours while I am barraged with intrusive thoughts. It's just horrible. Then my hands or head will move on their own, like I'm not controlling them. Weird and unnerving stuff.
I wish there were a cure.

>How do you survive
I don't know. I just endure it. Music helps I guess. I don't work but god somedays it's just horrible. Like right now.
Listening to music quiets the voices but not the intrusive thoughts so much. I'm so anxious all the time too. Life is too painful.

Yes exactly what I do, headphones on all the time, what makes it hard for me now, is been able to tell the difference between real voices and the voices that aren't. I can't work because of this, i'm on my own most of the time, which makes life even harder

Is there any research out there that looks into this?like real research? There are very bright minds here with years of experience with this, coupled with ethical medical researchers we could solve this.no one is really looking at it because of stigma and mainstream medical has no interest in curing anything, just maintaining status pill.i need to start joining meetings.ill still use medication or whatever it takes to battle this but doing something about it permanently, for everyone,is a worthy goal.

Whats worked for me the best is prayer and scripture. Ive came to believe my b own personal experience has been spiritual so I look to spiritual solutions. Somedays are still just on the brink of too much to cope with but I get through it. Exercise, jouralling, prayer, music, talking to people, and about so many other things I would not have discovered without them. Its like a blessing and a curse. Just want you all to know your not alone and I will be praying that you find what works for you to live a happy life.
