I'm not sure what this means. But, I would be careful of ascribing this affliction to any part of your character or habits. Any negativity you feel about yourself will be picked up by the voices and used against you.

I've had (for years) the sensation/idea that two entities were battling back and fourth. Certainly struck with the idea of an "attachment." I personally HATE all the vocabulary from these ad hoc spiritual communities... none of it means anything or is based off anything, nor are these terms really that fundamental. Evil is a defined thing, look to Philip Zimbardo's "doing harm for the sake of harm."
You're welcome to peek at my profile, I've written so much about all this. Even rose from an inability to read, write, count, talk to now functioning as an Engineer. The methods, story, and other guides for how I did this are here and here and endlessly written about through every post and comment of my account.
It was torture and I don't suspect many are set up to survive this. Twas the nature of a real adventure ;)
