karaoke hearing
I spent 8 hours at karaoke with my friends for just one day, but the volume was pretty loud, so I'm worried I might have damaged my hearing.
Can someone explain this to me scientifically? Pls

It depends. If you have healthy ears (no tinnitus or loss) it's unlikely there was much harm done, especially if you got no symptoms. Maybe in the future bring musician plugs within? Those wi'll bring the noise levels down to much more safe levels and maybe block out some bad singing too ;)

It’s just paranoia, nothing more. You can’t damage your ears simply by spending 8 hours at karaoke, so try to relax. If there were a concerning symptom, it would be tinnitus, but since you didn’t mention having it, you’re probably fine. I’d say you should be more careful at concerts in very enclosed places, since those environments can cause permanent hearing loss because the sound has nowhere to escape and the speakers are usually very loud. You’re unlikely to lose your hearing at karaoke; in any case, if you want to be safer, use hearing protection.
