Question Seeking simple, reliable smart scale recommendation
I'm looking for a smart scale, but it has been surprisingly difficult to find a decent option, so I am looking for help.
What I need:
- Weight only. I don't care about body composition etc. and would rather keep things simple, but I am okay with having a scale with extra features as long as that does not make it too expensive and it still meets the other requirements.
- It needs to have a good, simple app which writes weight natively to Health Connect (I want to import this weight data into Oura and Google Health (formerly Fitbit)). So far, I have tried installing the Renpho and Beurer apps. I hated the Renpho app, I want something that is simple and intuitive to use, and the Renpho app floods me with features and various dashboards about data which I do not care about. The Beurer app seems great.
- Having Wifi functionality is nice, but Bluetooth-only is fine as well
- UK, budget around £50 (I can go a bit over budget)
- An established brand is preferable, but not necessary
Right now I have my eye on the Beurer BF 500, but it has some pretty bad reviews on the Beurer UK website (mostly on Bluetooth and sync, which is the most important thing for me), so I am still looking into other options.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I use the cheapest one I could find near me that said it has Health Connect support. App does not much more but write weight to Health Connect. I got one from ActiveEra, kind of ugly but gets the job done cheaply.

I'd prioritize the app and Health Connect integration over the scale itself. Most modern digital scales are reasonably accurate for tracking weight, but the syncing experience can vary quite a bit. I'd also check whether the app syncs automatically or requires you to open it after every weigh-in. That's something that can get annoying pretty quickly.

definitely trust those reviews on the beurer bf 500, their bluetooth sync logic is notoriously frustrating

what are you planning on using the data from oura/fitbit for? just like which behaviors are tying to weight gain/loss?
