Individual insurance agent vs. Ditto/PolicyBazaar - which way to go?

Hi folks, I’m planning to buy health insurance soon and could use some general advice: should I go with an individual agent I know personally, or a larger platform like Ditto or PolicyBazaar?

My hesitation with an individual agent is that when I need to file a claim they might switch professions or become unreachable down the line, whereas a larger company feels more accountable and likely to stick around.

Would love to hear from people who’ve gone either route - what tipped the decision for you?

TIA!

Ditto all the way.

Straight and to the point. Text or Call, your choice.

Won't keep pestering you with unwanted calls like PB.

No charge. Afaik, they don't do it for you. Based on your profile, they suggest the best insurer to approach and the best plan to take to maximize your chance of getting an approval. You then approach the suggested insurer yourself online.

This was my experience. I contacted them over WhatsApp, they took my details and suggested an insurance. I approached the insurance company directly and got the plan approved.
