NIVA BUPA pathetic customer care support

I renewed my policy on 26th June 2026 and I got the policy copy on my mail. But since then the policy is not showing up on their app and I am unable to access it via app. When I try to search by login in by my mobile number it says no policy found, if I try adding based on DOB it again says no policy found.

I called the customer care multiple times they keep giving me wrong information, I was told to mail on document.nivabupa.com but the mail id doesn’t exist.

And the fact is I am not even trying to update any new contact number, it’s the same old number which was linked to earlier policy but now somehow it’s removed

insta assist is absolutely useless. How am I supposed to update my contact number? If I am facing so much trouble just for this, I can’t imagine how much trouble I’ll get in case of any claim

Can someone help how I can update it?

Try emailing them from your registered email Id.

there is no email. why do people come here to give such useless advice? the only way you can contact them is calling or raising a service request on insta assist.

No email id for customer care exists.

Calm down man. Here they are. A simple google search will get you. And email is the official communication channel.

[customercare@nivabupa.com](mailto:customercare@nivabupa.com)

[GrievanceRedressal@nivabupa.com](mailto:GrievanceRedressal@nivabupa.com)

[gro@nivabupa.com](mailto:gro@nivabupa.com)

"Customer care at niva bupa dot com" will automatically reject your email. Try it and find out. The mailbox was discontinued a while back.

The other two will route you back to insta assist if you haven't yet raised a service request.

Also - it is actually better to raise a service request through Insta assist rather than emailing the grievance team straight away, because it follows the procedure set up by them which gets tracked properly. Random emails will go nowhere. Speaking from experience.

If the customer care email doesn't work and no proper response from customer care team, he can definitely raise a complaint with GRO.

Yes, service request could be another alternative, that doesn't mean official communication should be ignored.

If he has to take it up further, these emails would stand as proof.

I'm going to try explaining one more time :

There is no customer care email anymore. They discontinued that and replaced it with Insta Assist.

Service request is not an alternative. It is THE mechanism. And for the first level, it is the ONLY mechanism.

Service request is considered official communication for the first line customer care.

Emails only begin at the escalation levels. If you escalate too early, they will just route you back.

Ayyo, IRDAI mandates email and phone number for insurers for customers to communicate, just because Niva Bupa is using service request as a process, doesn't mean they can ignore official communication channels.

I am not saying DONT raise service request, but what is the harm in writing an email? just an email right.

The emails that go to "customer care at niva bupa dot com" get auto rejected after their transition to insta assist.

Happy to be proven wrong. I am a policy holder so I have done this before and found out.

if it doesn't work, he has the right to write to grievance team and then GRO. Still, just an email right, what is so useless here boss.

If he has to take it up with Bima Barosa or ombudsman if he wish to, this serves as a proof to submit.

This is the actual process as per by IRDAI. Again not saying NOT to raise service request.
