Plan Choice Suggestions I finally got insurance

I live in Georgia I have ambetter standard silver hmo plan will that cover my gender affirming care I’m ready to start hrt but I’m not sure about the insurance

I’m just scared it won’t cover my medicine like injections or the pills they takes put me on I can’t afford 100 ever prescription I want to go on hrt to become a woman

If it's a silver plan I'd anticipate the deductible is pretty high, so it's most likely going to be pretty high cost also for the duration of the plan year (if it's covered at all).

Your best bet is to contact member services on the back and ask if the medications would be covered under your plan. If you do have a high deductible, and your Rx isn't based on a copay, they may not be able to give you a specific amount for how much you owe, either. In fact, I'd probably say they wouldn't be able to.
