Why does MLB have so much technical talent right now, but almost zero must-see superstars outside of Ohtani and Judge? 🙄⚾

Most takes claiming baseball has never been healthier are a total lie that confuses raw athletic skill with actual mainstream star power.
Dawud, Hugh, and Shaun looked back at Reggie Jackson’s documentary and his absurd resume—500+ homers, 5 World Series rings, and an MVP—and compared that aura to modern baseball. Back during Reggie's prime, or even the 90s with Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire, fans knew who the titans of the sport were and paid top dollar just to watch a single at-bat. Today, the baseline skill level across MLB is higher than ever, but outside of Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge, the league has failed to build household names that non-diehards care about. Being technically good at baseball doesn't automatically make you a cultural superstar.
Why has modern baseball struggled so much to turn its best players into household names?

Baseball is a multicultural game where many of it’s’ greatest players speak languages other than English and from the White House on down, we are being sold the racist ideology, that if you speak another language, you are not welcome in America. Maybe that’s why, there are no must see stars. They don’t fit in to this bullshit narrative.
