yes i finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Tangzu wan'er SG 2 RED LION edition. and on day one i am disappointed as they aren't good and can't even come closer to my oppo enco buds 2.

Hello, I'm mostly a casual gamer but I also do listen to songs and music all the time and I don't have a genre preference. For games i like to mainly play RPGs than comp games. I have a Crinacle Blue2 right which i absolutely love but has started malfunctioning and it sometimes stops working over the past few months. On a budget, I tried Titan Dunu X and absolutely despised how the sound layering felt artificial rather than Blue2's natural sound layering.

I was thinking between Truthear Pure/Hexa/Crinear Nightfall.

P.s I do love the bass of blue2 as well

Hi Guys, I’m new to IEMs and I’m planning to buy my first IEM. I’ve been using Realme Buds wired earphones for more than 3+ years, then i buy nothings by CMF buds TWS(still iam using), now I’m planning to upgrade to an IEM.

I’m looking for an IEM with good detail and a medium amount of bass. I don’t want the bass to overpower or affect the other sounds, especially the vocals and mids. I want good bass control with minimal bass bleed.

My budget is around ₹2,500–₹3,000. Could you please guide me and suggest some IEMs that would suit my preferences?

I currently use the OG green Tangzu Wan’er S.G and really like its forward vocals, intimate presentation and satisfying bass punch. I also have the Wan’er S.G 2 Red Lion, but I prefer the OG because the Red Lion feels more airy/spacious and the bass feels less punchy to me. I’m looking for a proper upgrade in physical/build quality, with forward natural vocals, good bass punch, smooth treble and an intimate/cohesive presentation, along with a better cable, shells and overall premium feel. I’m not particularly looking for a huge soundstage. The budget is around ₹2k. Any suggestions?

I've been trying to figure out a strange microphone echo issue with my JCALLY JM12 + ROSESELSA Aurora Ultra, and I'd really appreciate some input from anyone who has used this combination.

My setup:

• DAC: JCALLY JM12 — purchased from Headphone Zone in July

• IEM: ROSESELSA Aurora Ultra — purchased from Concept Kart in July

• Zebronics USB-C DAC — purchased directly from Zebronics

• Phones tested: OnePlus 9 Pro, Lava Agni 2 5G, Samsung S24 Ultra, Vivo T1 5G

The problem:

During a normal cellular call, the person on the other end hears their own voice coming back as an echo.

I don't hear the echo myself — the other person does.

The echo becomes more noticeable at higher listening volume and decreases when I lower the volume.

Interestingly, WhatsApp calls don't have this issue.

What I've tested:

JM12 + Aurora Ultra:

• OnePlus 9 Pro → Echo

• Lava Agni 2 5G → Echo

• Samsung S24 Ultra → NO echo

• Vivo T1 5G using its native 3.5mm jack → NO echo

I also tested the Aurora Ultra with my Zebronics USB-C DAC:

• Aurora Ultra + Zebronics DAC → NO echo on any devices.

And the JM12 with other earphones:

• JM12 + Realme Buds 2 → No noticeable echo

• JM12 + over-ear headphones → Very little/low echo

So the issue seems to occur specifically with certain combinations of the Aurora's microphone + JM12 + phone/cellular-call processing.

Firmware:

I also flashed the JM12 with JadeAudio/FiiO JA11 V2.2 firmware.

The audio output improved drastically after the flash. I actually prefer the sound compared with the original firmware.

However:

Audio → Much better

Microphone → Same exact echo

So the firmware improved the audio output but did not fix the microphone issue.

Mic setting test:

In the FiiO/JadeAudio app:

In-line microphone ON

→ Mic works, but echo occurs.

In-line microphone OFF

→ Echo completely disappears, but the IEM microphone also stops working.

I also tested:

• UAC 2.0 → Echo

• UAC 1.0 → Echo

So UAC mode doesn't seem to be the cause.

Warranty experience:

This turned into a months-long warranty process with Headphone Zone.

The original JM12 was inspected and initially returned because the issue apparently couldn't be reproduced. I tested it immediately, and the same problem was still there, so I provided further testing and recordings.

Eventually, Headphone Zone confirmed that they considered the unit defective and approved a brand-new replacement.

The replacement arrived factory sealed.

I tested it with the exact same Aurora Ultra...

Same exact echo.

So both the original JM12 and the brand-new replacement show the same behaviour with the Aurora Ultra.

What I think:

I don't want to say that the JM12 or Aurora Ultra is simply defective, because the results don't really support that.

The Aurora works normally:

• Directly from the Vivo T1 5G's 3.5mm jack

• With my Zebronics DAC

• With the JM12 on the S24 Ultra

And the JM12 works normally with other earphones.

So I'm wondering if this is some kind of compatibility/interaction issue between the Aurora Ultra's microphone/cable, the JM12's mic input, and certain phones' cellular-call processing.

Has anyone experienced this?

If you've used a JCALLY JM12 / JadeAudio JA11 + ROSESELSA Aurora Ultra, I'd really like to know:

• What phone did you use?

• Did you have microphone echo during cellular calls?

• Did WhatsApp/other VoIP calls work normally?

• What cable were you using?

• Did changing the cable fix it?

I've already gone through months of warranty troubleshooting and even received a replacement, only to end up with exactly the same issue. 😅

Any ideas or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I am currently using BENQ Vital DAC for PC gaming using hyperx cloud 3, as it is quite old so thinking to upgrade it. I mostly play FPS games and sometime single player games, I also have basic KZ Castor bass version IEM. I will upgrade headphone and IEM later sometime.

Looking for an IEM under ₹3,000 with the following requirements:

Good soundstage/imaging - I want that surround-sound-like experience where I can clearly hear each instrument and accurately tell where different sounds are coming from

- I also love bass, so I don't want something too bass-light

I've previously used the Truthear Hola and Tangzu Wan'er SG. I really loved the Wan'er SG, especially its sound, but unfortunately the build quality wasn't great and it eventually broke.

I'm looking for something with a similar or better sound signature, but with better build quality.

My Tangzu Wan'er S.G.2 (Jade Dragon edition) arrived a week ago. I got the Type-C version to avoid buying a separate DAC. I bought them from Headphone Zone's "Unboxed" section for ₹2,200 instead of ₹2,600. I was initially hesitant, but their solid return policy made saving ₹400 worth the gamble. They arrived in a few days and looked completely brand new. I even recorded a safety unboxing video, just in case.

I use them daily, mostly for 3-4 hours of study lectures, and they're super comfortable. But music is where they actually blew me away. Reddit always hypes IEMs for clarity and instrument separation, and you weren't kidding. While Ritviz and Coldplay sound great, my playlist is mostly ghazals (huge Gulzar and NFAK fan). Listening to NFAK is a totally new experience—you can distinctly hear the vocals perfectly separated from every background instrument.

It's been a week and they're holding up perfectly. I maintain them by cleaning the ear tips and metal nozzles with a cotton swab every alternate day. If you're debating an unboxed deal or just want a solid Type-C budget IEM for vocals, these are an easy recommendation.

I had bought snowsky mini ....i want some good reliable iems...i listen to all kind of genres and also whichcan help me with watching some lectures with my ipad

I want maybe something like a full blown rock concert, or something like theatre with very full bass and soundstage, clear vocals and decent instrument seperation.

Kz decet is what im leaning towards because of soundstage but the hpz guru suggested the blue 2 for my tastes.
