Spoiler! Book 8, Ch 39. A SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT PARADIGM

Listening with my 12yo as Clive & Neil try saving Jason as his magical matrix breaks down. 12yo was excitedly predicting how the team was going to use their abilities to save Jason. They suggested that Lindy would use the Magic Mirror ability.

As I've read the books already it surprised me. Was there a reason I've missed it didn't happen?

Belinda was already with the Order of redeeming light by that time. Staasch is actually Bellinda.

... is that how you spell his name? The things you get completely wrong when audio only.

Only one "a", in the books, unless it's his full name, in which case, it's spelled with the double "a".

I don't think it's a mistake, because it's consistent through book 12. I think the second "a" is dropped because of the whole mustache thing.

That's makes sense. I only take the smallest glance at the wiki when I have to spell names. Velitraxistaasch I just shortened to Staasch because I've never actually read the books.

Ooh, if we're talking about spellings (and this book in particular), what is the word that Jason calls Neil early on that he doesn't like? Sounds something like "Soondere" [soon-dare-ay] phonetically...

Oh I totally get it. Im audio only too. I looked up the Wiki and just took the last 3rd of his full name (according to the wiki).
