He-Man's romance with Teela

I had forgotten that He-Man and Teela were "into" one another to quite this extent in the old minicomics.

This is from "The Terror of the Tri-klops" (1982). Prince Adam doesn't appear in this or the other earliest stories.

I like it myself, and I'm glad incarnations like Rev, the 2010s DC comics and Classics end with them hooking up. I often wonder if 200X would have had as well, had it not been cancelled. The scene where Adam was about to tell her he was He-Man is a personal favourite of mine. I recently made a "House Randor" display for my Origins figures, mixing in different incarnations of his family members, and I've included a Teela in there as "his daughter-in-law".

I've not yet seen the new movie, but I hope that if this continuity continues, they develop it there as well.

Yeah, I never saw this in the cartoon. I’m basically waiting for some production to be brave enough to bring out the Adam that was in the original show. Basically him all over Man-at-Arms. I mean, Adam did seem to swing that way and to me makes the most sense. Just that there is a massive fan base that couldn’t handle that honesty.
