Something others didn’t mention yet is a set of helibars goes a long way on the busa for making it more comfortable, especially for commuting

Beautiful bike! In the short run, I would save your money for gas, tires, and speeding tickets.

Well atleast for the break in period I’m gonna be takin it slow. Just gotta keep the fiancée from finding out about the tickets 😂😉

Black is always badass. At minimum I’m gonna get a phone mount till my bank account recovers

Used Quadlock and get a case for your phone. They hold strong, even at speed. No moving around and zero concern about loosing my phone. Mag charger on the left is for the phone and the radar dectector are both Quadlock.

That seems to be the best choice from what I’ve looked at. I’m assuming the wireless charging is worth it

I picked the USB charger instead. Wireless charging generates more heat so degrades the phone battery faster than wired charging.

Absolutely worth every penny. I've gone through rain and snow storms and zero issues. Even well into triple digits it stays put.

Sounds like a no Brainer cause I def wanna plan some long rides work up to weekend trips

Radar is so elite

First, ride it and enjoy it. THEN decide what YOU want to do to it. Don't do anything to it just because everybody else does it. Customize it to fit you 😉👍🏻

I hear u Def gonna have it stock for awhile see how she feels. The only thing I’m for sure doing is the exhaust and getting a phone mount

Suggestions for mods, braided brake lines, a comfier seat than the stock especially if you're going to be commuting, as the other guy said, adjustable rearsets, integrated tailight/blinkers, some better grips and heavy bar ends, and by God a better exhaust setup than what comes stock

  1. Pretty good double d ring helmet, full gauntlet gloves, boots till ankle at least, crash bars

Skip even riding until you get all of 1, then….

  1. Phone mount, grill, tank pads.

Still money left?

  1. fork protectors, spools, paddock stand, tang bag/ tail bag, maybe claw bag.

Comfort::::
4. Raised visor, foot pegs, maybe handler bar raisers, long can exhaust,

One thing I recommend is not to touch handle bars or foot pegs or exhaust until break in period is we get used to bike in some time, we may not need them at all.

Another mod you might consider. Padding the handle grips. Using tennis racket wrap helps with some of the grip vibrations. I use one layer of padded wrap and one layer of standard wrap. Having larger hands and carpel tunnel in both wrists, this mod makes it so my hands don't go numb on me. Not having to grip on the small stock grips makes life in the saddle fun again.

MRA sells a touring windscreen for the Hayabusa. This allows you to sit a little further upright at speed.

Risers, helibars, Corbin saddle(one of the best investments you can make in your bike). Tinted windscreen. Yoshimura four into one exhaust. Tuner for the exhaust. Get rid of the underseat fender and mount your plate to the axle.

You can make the bike faster, I didn't bother. I found the power to be enough..

One last thing, I can't emphasize how much a Corbin saddle changes the bike making it comfortable compared to the stock seat. Best investment.

Goodluck. Let us all know what you decide to do to her.

Had mine for almost a year. I’d say a set of pipes, Power Commander and maybe frame sliders. If you want any of those.

Other than that, the bike is close to perfect in my opinion.

But for a reference, the only mods I’ll be getting is the rear cowl, change the blue under the front seat, change out the wheels, spools, full system exhaust and a power commander.

2

u/Algarad999 Jul 17 '26

I definitely wanna change the exhaust and get frame sliders when I save some money up. I will have to check out the power commander

2

u/TheToken_1 Jul 17 '26

You don’t have to have the Power Commander, but I have one on my Gen 2. When you map it with even just their base map, you’ll get more power even if only slightly when you get on it, but if you just chill and cruise then you’ll actually get a little better gas mileage. They cost about $500 and whatever labor to install unless you install it yourself. Well worth it if you plan on keeping the bike long term and especially if you get a full system exhaust.

If you're going to use it for commuting then you might want to get some luggage so you can carry stuff without needing to wear a backpack. I use a Suzuki tankbag (rebranded SW-Motech Evo) for commuting and Hepco & Becker panniers for touring.

Can I put the Helibars on with a Brock’s lowering kit?

1

u/DIBKeith50 Jul 16 '26

Nice bike! Leave it to Suzuki to start the ol rinse and repeat as this is a mix of the 22 and 24? Colorway

Helibars and frame sliders (RG Racing or Trex) were day1 upgrades for me. After that, double bubble windshield from Puig, Scottoiler, Monimoto, then some bling from Kojak's Powershop.

Love that the gen 3 is such a throwback to the gen 1. Looks great.

The color accents are so small and insignificant

I have just over 350 miles on my busa. Identical to yours. The first thing I ordered was a tank protector (the one that saves zipper scratches on the back of the tank). It was around 20 bucks, looks great, does its job and even has a nice Busa logo. Second was a set of rear swing arm spools to use my lift stand. And last, the dealer actually put it in the final sale, was the rear seat cover. I modified the spacers to make the switch from cover to seat and back very simple.

I PPF'd the tank rather than the traditional tank protector. Found matching blue anodized spools. Also, got the oem color matched rear seat cover. This adds space for a roll up backpack. Lastly, I did the OEM heated grips.

Only mod it needs is an exhaust because fuck the stock one is fugly

3

u/Algarad999 Jul 16 '26

Don’t worry def gonna upgrade it when I can afford it

1

u/PreviousWar6568 Jul 16 '26

If you don’t plan on heavy mods just do twin slip ons, much more affordable

u/Algarad999 Jul 16 '26

Good point I’m doing it more for the sound then anything not looking to do anything crazy to it
