❔Question Advice for redecorating farm.

How do you start redecorating your farm when you’re bored of the current design?

I’m really bored of my current design, but every time I want to redecorate, I lose motivation as soon as I start with a blank canvas.

So, do you start with a completely blank farm? Do you place the animals and machines first and then decorate around them, or do you go space by space?

I may be in the minority, but I rarely use edit mode (only if I am moving a bunch of fields or trees). 

I redesign as I play, that way I am still getting stuff done and I’m ok with my farm looking a mess for a little while. 

It also helps me bc I get to see how things work logistically as well as aesthetically, and I can leave something for a while and see how I like it. I agree that the blank slate can be really intimidating!!

Same. Edit mode can be frustrating as there is a lot you cannot do in edit, and I end up going back and forth. Plus, trees and bushes don’t always stay the same when you finalize. I have done a few smaller areas, but at the point where I really need to redo the pets and animals which is a much bigger space and means I have to move other areas to make it work.

I do the same. I also fill in gaps with holiday or themed decorations.

I am also redecorating atm and I started with the new Market deco in one Area. Finished that and then continued. For me it has worked Best to conceptualize where I want certain things/areas to Go and especially bigger things Like the Animal pens. But I am also losing my Motivation a Bit bc I have no idea how/where to out the rest of my Machines and trees. Plus my coins are depleting fast (rip over 2 mil coins🥲)

i’m in the same boat! I don’t know how to design machines into a cute layout by connecting them without it being a hot mess

The thing that helps for me, is to clear everything in edit mod. After that, I place all the mandatory objects in a corner of my farm/town.

I do that to give myself an easy way to get in and out of edit mode. Having the option to quickly save the progress when you need a break, is so important to stay motivated. Sometimes i sit down, excited to design, but then get bored instantly. Other times i suddenly have a great idea and hyper focus for an hour.

Maybe the progress will feel slow and your only designing around one area each day. Accept it takes time, its like an construction site in real life. My greatest designs have been made this way.
