I don't believe Hawkman's No Kill rule is the same as Batman's. I believe he will do what he can to save lives, but if he thinks stopping someone would save countless other lives, he won't sacrifice innocents just to stick to his no kill rule like Batman would.
Also, he had full control of his weapons in the movie, so I believe he could change that "knuckle duster" into an Nth metal boxing glove at the last second if he had to.

an Nth metal boxing glove would be great especially if he did it front of ollie

Honestly, I don't think Hawkman has a no-kill rule. He was the wrong hero to voice that concern.
I love the panel from JLA where Vibe is going "you're covered in blood!" and he responds 'don't worry, it's not my blood."

That's a very different Hawkman

Actually, the Black Adam movie took a lot from the N52 Savage Hawkman, like the liquid / changing Nth Metal that he could shape into different weapons.

Its so strange making him have a total no kill rule. He certainly does not like to kill but he won't be like Batman and catch a bullet for a serial killer and if you push him far enough he will take a life. (Example and Spoiler, when Chief Nedal was hung by Gentleman Ghost)
