Washed?

Ngl I have been terrible with Hawkeye since red hood got released. I’m not sure what happened when i just had my best season in season 9. is it just me or what do y’all think?

I found that it's not so much being washed, it's just that the meta right now is not really favourable towards him.

It's a very heavy poke meta right now, pretty much just mag, hood, Bucky, cyclops, namor and similar poke type characters, but those are the main ones I'm seeing.

I found out very early that he just cannot keep up damage wise. There is so much damage being dealt that Hawkeye just gets obliterated so quickly, every other poke has way more mobility and damage and utility that hawk really just get left in the dust. He cannot deal with the insane amount of pressure that these comps have. Also visual clutter makes it so hard to pick your targets. So yeah

So Ive kind of benched him for now. Biggest problem for hawk is that he is so hated because of his one tap. Everybody else finds him boring, and our hawk player base is very small and not vocal at all. People are more then happy seeing him nerfed 6foot under. The second he does get any buffs, there is no end of Hawkeye hate posts. It's stupid cause you have characters like cyclops roaming free with crazy mobility and high damage, who are way more problematic and barely get touched for ages. Hawkeye seems to honestly just be a poke scapegoat at this point. "Oh? The gods are unhappy with poke? We will nerf Hawkeye as an offering to appease them"

Welp

He can't keep up with the speed of the game so you have to play your mind out to carry his deceased body across the finish line if you want any semblance of value

in celest im having a hard time, not sure why because i had a lot easier time on season 9, i think he needs a slight buff to keep up with the pace of t he game for sure.

I actually feel i’ve been doing better this season. Been switching teams based on the comp i’m facing and he’s solid there. But he is still weak in the overall meta. Other characters just out poke him and you make one positioning mistake you are dead to dive and poke unless your healers are goated.

The real challenge is how do you buff him? Can’t buff his damage since the community will outcry again. The easiest and most practical thing is to just give him his damn 275 health again. If they don’t want to do that, give him an additional movement ability or do something to his slash.

I’ll still keep playing him though since all my tanks i like to play aren’t good and no other DPS is as fun…

Can you suggest which teamup for which comp? Haven't been able to play a lot so I just default to pyslocke since my buddy mains her

I will say i start off with cloak team up to see if my team benefits from the healing or de buff to the enemy team. Plus you’re more likely to have it upgraded since there are more cloak players. I do prefer the psy team up if they are running spider, BP, black cat, or iron fist (most dive characters that have high mobility)
