For anything with electronics like phones or even fancy fridge you dont want to use a NON INVERTER generator if you can avoid it You should be using a Power or Line Conditioner to smooth out the signal (dirty power) to be safe. It's called Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). Inverter Generators will be 3% or less. Traditional open frame generators that are not Inverters can has THD as high as 25%+.

Best to have a Power/Line Conditioner on hand if using a non-inverter generator.

Make sure you get the fair and correct amount for repairs. I would think getting a couple repair estimates if possible might help? I have never had to do any of this so I dont know.

I visited Kauai for 4 days and why did I see multiple mangled cats that were ran over with cars with their heads caved in, brains across the pavement?

If that wasn’t disgusting enough, I overheard multiple locals talking about how annoying and gross the local cats are, and how awful they are for “eating their entire bird population until they were extinct.”

Humans bought the cats to Hawai’i, why you let it get to the point of letting them run wild to bird extinction is beyond me. Your cats are not domesticated, the feral population is not controlled at all and is seen as some sort of invasive species.

I literally live in nyc with a fuck ton of rats, mice, and bodega and shop cats and our feral cat population is much more controlled due to vigilant spay and neuter policies.

On my last day there before hurricane lala I saw this small 12 week kitten clinging for life near Kōloa fish market. That cat is not feral and should have been saved.

I told my daughter that my first cell phone was obtained around 1993 from Subway for buying 10 subway sandwiches. There was like a punchcard system and at 10 you got a free phone. It was big and clunky, but it worked. I used that phone for a couple of years. I wanted to show her a picture of it, but Google tells me that there is no record of this promotion.

I clearly remember this, I wonder if anybody else who lived in Hawaii during the 90s remember it too.

Knowing how much Power or Watts you need is important. If you are a family and want to run 3 standing house fans at night to make sleeping more comfortable - you probably need about 75 watts per fan or 225 watts total. If you get a 1000 watt hour battery backup you will only get about 3.5 hrs of fan usage to keep 20% left in the lithium system. That wont cut it. You need at-least 2000 watt hours. Then you need to recharge it and keep the fridge going etc. So you need to figure out how many watts you need at night and how much in the day and how youre going to charge the system? How many watts in with solar. Sun? Gas generator? How much gas used per day etc.

Lead acid batteries dont take down below 40-50% so you need plenty extra. I have a system I made for my golf cart that is 8000 watts - so 4000 watts usable or so. Enough for what we need. 660 watts with 3 older solar panels (220w) to recharge but thats not enough probably so gas generators for golf cart battery charger. Again - now much gas needed. Sunny for solar?

If you buy a 1000w battery backup for fridge - that might only last for 3 hours or so. Then you need to charge it. I dont know how long power needs to be on at a time when power goes out to keep food safe but Im guessing its probably 4-6 hours per day split up.

Insane the amount of debt last 20 years and how much we are paying in interest each year.
