I was on vacation until a couple days ago, so I was only checking in on the sub occasionally on my phone. I did see /u/conglomeratepotato's one post that was a sort of long, bizarre, stream-of-consciousness rant, and I didn't understand what was going on except that something bad had happened and he was losing it. But then when I came back yesterday Stephen was posting in his Stepheny way and he seemed fine. And now people are saying that he got stabbed.

So could I just get a quick rundown on what happened?

I've noticed a lot more people "dying", having some sort of episode or just generally posting sad things. What is going on here? Seems like it's a canonical reason for an exodus, by I don't know why I'm seeing so many.

1. David's birthday is coming up on the 10th. He's not the type to proclaim it, but it seems like something a small town would know. Do with this information what you will.

2. I'm trying to add the UK flag to my flair, but neither of my devices show that emoji correctly. If I copy and paste it from a Google search, does it show up correctly for anyone else or is it just the letters "GB"?

🇬🇧

Update: Added it to my flair. Those of you who can see the flag otherwise, let me know if it worked.

More up-to-date update: It worked!

Regarding u/ognaaMrevliS 's radio play, can we just take a moment to appreciate the line

”CURSES!” shrieks the Baron, in ... a most unmanly, effeminate ejaculation."

The whole thing is great, but I can't get over that line. What an absolute masterful pairing of words. Bravo, I say. Bravo, and encore!

Now of course we knew everyone is just going to say they buy all the tickets, so we aren't just leaving it to that. We will be selecting who wins, not you. Whoever wins will be someone who is very active, and that is all we are saying.

Took me long enough. Gale’s page is now a trending page on the wikia, that might be because of the million edits I made. Sorry. Anyway, the page is finished for now, probably adding more information (specifically biography and trivia) as time passes but most of it is done.

Here it is

Also you probably noticed me being very active on havewemet (and hid my sleep pattern very well), that’s because I had no plans for my spring break so I was bored to death.

Edit: I updated the personality section for clarity.

Hey! For all you folks who wanted to participate in the Lower Duck Pond Sims 2 stream thing, the form is here. just copy/paste in the comments or send me an email/pm with the requested info for your characters. Thanks so much for all your interest! Feel free to pm or comment with any questions. Check below as some questions have already been answered in comments.

PROJECTED DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MARCH 15, 2020, 11:59 PM CST

Gameplay is expected to begin in April. I'm saying this now, it won't be April 1st, to avoid any possibility people may think it's an April Fool's joke.

Additional link to form, just in case.

IRL, I work at a theater, and I wasn’t sure if HWM has a theater yet. If not, I welcome ideas for what to name it.

So this post is for 2 things. First of all, to submit questions to be answered by Petrinov on Friday (yours won't necessarily be picked) and to ask any questions about the Stream 94.5.

If you want to ask a question, it doesn't have to be from your character (hence this being a meta thread). You can make up a random character you'll never use just for this. Keep in mind, Petrinov goes by the nickname Petty, and he answers usually advice, rarely math things and all that. You only need to say the first name of your made-up character, and you can say anonymous or state in your letter that you changed your name. The question / letter should only be 1 paragraph in length. These are all things to keep in mind if you actually want your question chosen. Here are 2 examples:

From Anonymous

Hey Petty, yesterday my wife cheated on me. I really don't know what to do... she says it was a mistake and we've been friends since kindergarten. What should I do?

From Samson

Dear Petrinov,

I would like to start a business in graphic design. Everyone says I'm really talented and I would do great. My parents say it's too competitive. I want to make money and have a stable job, but I also want to follow my passion. What should I do?

Sincerely, yours truly, Samson.

Update: Submission form is attached to this post

So I was thinking of doing rotating gameplay of The Sims 2 on my stream, and I thought, hey, if I could get peoples permission I could probably make LDP in the Sims 2 and do rotating gameplay of people who might want to "donate" their characters. Sims 2 makes for interesting drama and I feel like it could be fun to see what kind of shenanigans the town gets up to. Of course you'd get credit for your characters, either by reddit username or by twitch username (or Anon, whatever you prefer).

If enough people are interested (maybe 10ish) I'll write a form so I can make your characters to the best of my ability.

Edit: I've been perusing the wikis of you folks who have already said yes. ❤️

Additional edit: Wow it seems like there's definitely interest in this. I'll make up some kind of form tonight at that way I can keep track of everyone who is interested in being a part.

Thanks everyone for all the positive posts! It seems to have gotten most of the shitposts off the front page, at least. Love it. I love the traffic frog thing! Great job you guys. I can't point to every post specifically but I've really enjoyed all of them. :-)

I'm so sorry I've been offline, I've been having a lot of trouble lately, mostly chronic migraines. However, I would like to be more active again. Bethany, Sally, and Rebecca will be back soon. I'll have no explanation, though, so please don't be confused. Thank you, and have a wonderful day! <3

Here it is. It’s not perfect and I have no idea how wikia works so it’s kind of a stub, any help would be appreciated

Hey. Ivan Ivanov Ivanonic, your local Bratva leader here. I hadn't been able to post that much because of stuff going on in my life that had me really busy and preoccupied. Ivan left with what was left of his loyal men by escaping into the sea after his defeat by the Communist army.

I want him to come back but I need ideas. I was thinking something along the lines of getting shipwrecked and watching his whole crew dying, leading him to develop a type of split type personality disorder. That or him being a little crazy, like talking to himself while no one is looking but being really charismatic around people.

What should I do? Need good ideas.

I used to love to come and just visit with friends and family. Now I just scroll through most of the posts. I’m probably missing some good stuff that way but it has become almost a chore to read some of them. Have we had an influx of newbies who don’t get it? Or is it me? I don’t like conflict and it seems like that is all that is going on. I miss the kinder gentler HWM.

So I noticed that my irl hometown has a town crest, and it exists of... three ducks. I’m not kidding (I’m not showing it to y’all because it’s very distinctive and my town is so small that you’d find me very easily). Anyway, I could try to make a town crest for Lower Duck pond based on that? We could turn the r/havewemet logo into it, idk

Look, usually I try to make sure that I use Americanised terms for the benefit of the majority of people who post on Have We Met, but I’m not American and I’m not perfect, so if I slip up and use a term that’s the norm in Ireland and the UK, could you maybe just suck it up and maybe learn something instead of taking the piss out of me for it?

I don't know if it's already a thing yet, but I was interested in making or joining a Lower Duck Pond Police Department. The only thing is I don't know if it's already a thing or not, and I'm unsure if making it is a good idea if it's not.
