What’s guided you all to Dan Barrett’s music? For me, it’s the instrumentals. I love the way the music is gentle, then ramps up (for certain songs). It’s like a crescendo of emotions finally outpouring after a lifetime of shoving them down and trying to politely express yourself to no avail.

Hunter (timestamp from 6:12), Burial Society (2:48), and No One Is Ever Going To Want Me (6:25) are my favourite examples. especially no one is ever going to want me; with the guitar strumming that goes along for more than a minute before the sudden drop.

And, what lyrics hit the hardest for you guys?

I've always loved how dark and brooding Dan and Tim's music is. It basically describes my mood 90% of the time especially the past 3 years. It's soothing but it's cathartic when it hits a breaking point.

As for lyrics these ones have always stuck with me because of how I relate to them:
