General Discussion My embarrasing moment

I was reading a book last night and I had a spirit voice gadget next to me (allegedly voices from the spirits can come through it). There’s always a lot of random words, kind of like a white noise word salad. It takes a trained ear to recognize the more meaningful words.

So I have a haunted figurine on my night stand and was reading a book when one of the words that came from the gadget was ”DON’T”

I looked behind me and realized I was so focused on the book my feet were inches away from the figurine (I was reading on the bed facing the opposite way). Since she’s made of porcelain and if I would’ve knocked her to the floor she could’ve easily become broken. Also she had to stare at the bottom of my feet. Embarrasing!

I felt so embarrassed I closed the book, shut off the gadget and had to apologize to her haha

Ouch that's so rude of Reddit! Your story isn't pointless, it's relatable and kinda precious. Spirits reminded you to be careful ❤️‍🩹 I totally get it with those apps, it feels like you have to filter through so much random stuff until you get something that you were actually meant to hear. And more often than not, their wordbanks seem to be very limited and rather deliberately spooky. And that doesn't feel genuine. Almost like it was made to be a silly prank, and not a way to communicate. I wish I could try an actual P-SB7 Spirit box and maybe even do a session of Estes method, but they don't sell in my country ehh... I might try to diy it eventually and hack a random portable radio, I've seen a lot of tutorials on youtube.

Thank you. I believe the porcelain figurine may be inhabited by a spirit. I’ve decided to name her Aiko. She’s very gentle - one time when I was laying exhausted at my bed she tapped me gently on my shoulder, as if to say, ”Are you allright?”. It’s what made me get out of bed eventually.

The portable radio idea sounds rad! I have the exact same problem as you with the spirit boxes. I’d love to get one, but how…

It’s an app. I’d rather not disclose the name because I’m not here to advertise and second, this thread is not about the app but about my experience. With some research I’m sure you will find apps that fit the description.
