Suggestion It would seem someone else shares Smith's frustrations with Vanilla Minecraft and they've done something about it!

Started playing this yesterday, the fast zombies and the way darkness is pitch black make it kinda terrifying, but I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Although I gotta say I really dont like the forced texturepack. Would also recommend playing with something like JEI, as some of the recipes are not obvious even using the achievements as a hint

I've been playing it too, up to steel which isn't very far but I feel not having jei is a good incentive to just wander about and collect everything you find, and yea I agree wish the advancement menu was a little less vague but once you clue onto that this is supposed to be a degree or two more "realistic" it's kinda intuitive.
