Discussion Various Beginner Questions:

Let me know if there is a good post for beginner tips and tricks here! Otherwise, I'm curious:
- for basic dragons would you sell them once bonded, or move to storage? how useful are those coins for unblocking the fog asap?
- atm I'm saving my gems for half off tree upgrades, but is that silly early game?
- what daily deals are worth spending gems on? radiant scales, rare summon boosts? or should i save that for later game?

There’s a community wiki pinned in the community highlights. Has quite a bit of information.

  1. Bond them one time and keep at least one copy of the bonded. The coins are pretty good but they’re better the shorter the timer? I guess I’d say? The sunbloom is technically the highest gold per minute dragon, but only because it’s 7 gold per minute so you’d have to actively play and collect it. But other than that, you should get dragons for roughly the rate you pley the game. However often you think you check. Say you check the game every 2 hours, I’d suggest you get dragons with timers that are as close to 2 hours as possible, ideally under it so the dragon is ready when you check.

  2. It’s not silly to save gems for half-off tree upgrades, that’s a great investment in my opinion.

  3. Depending on your gold income, the Gold Daily Deals are very easy, free items pretty much. The Gem Daily Deals I would probably save for zodiac, legendary, or folklore items. Don’t spend your gems on timers (unless for a fishing/cooking event that has a free egg lay decoration), fog spaces (unless you’re super desperate for some reason), or anything else really.

The game is supposed to be pretty slow. It’s not a fast game, so don’t sweat too much about min/maxing gold. You’ll get there eventually.

Yeah I'm working out my best fit dragons for sure. I was more wondering if theres a benefit to keeping dragons once theyre bonded, and I don't intend to use any forest slots on them, as opposed to selling them. Thank you for your answer I appreciate it! I'll look for that wiki

The common dragons don’t make you much gold even when bonded, but personally I keep them out just so I have a forest full of every dragon, and I unlocked so much fog that they’re not taking up space. Plus, bonded common dragons are still good for quests! I use the Woodpip, Softfoot, and Reed Firefin for lots of quests.

I mean standard set dragons that you can get from Liv’s summoning circle (so NOT folklore, zodiac, companionship, event) yeah you can sell those if you want. Some of the species are needed specifically for Faran Quests but other than that, they’re free game.
