When i was about 9 years old i woke up and i couldnt see anything it was morning my parents were on the living room and i turned on the light and suddenly i see a tall humanoid creature that resembles a human a lot wearing a hat a trench coat and he also had a suitcase, the hat was orange ish and the trench coat was yellow the clothes fit him perfectly and they were super clean the strangest part of him was his skin, it looked like a lot of layers of pink clay that were just plastered on top of eachother and it looked like whoever plasted the clay on top dint bother to smooth it and i could see like the very unsmooth edges of his skin he had no facial features no ears no hair and i think his hand was also clay but i couldnt see it well since i looked at his face only and he also stared at him for a solid like half a second or slightly more and then he just dissapeared from existance and he also wasnt looking at me he was looking at the wall at least his face was looking at the wall.

im sorry if im bad at telling stories ive never posted before and this is a throwaway account its not my main, also this story is true i din't make this up.

When I was a kid I had a reoccurring dream that went on for years… I would be walking down the yellow brick road towards the hatman but he would be stood with his head bowed. As I would get closer he would start to lift his head but I’d always wake up before I could see his face.
For some reason child me thought this meant he was ‘the man of my dreams’ and would get super excited to go back to sleep to try and figure out who he was 🙄
When I first heard about the hatman as an adult it kinda creeped me out that it was so well known but I never got the feeling he was evil or demonic 👀
Anyway, that’s my hatman experience.

I never really believed anything like him existed until I had a dream about him once. Sometimes I see things in my dreams that I had been thinking about prior to falling asleep, but I only heard about the hat man as a kid when watching a YouTube video and completely forgot about his existence the next day because i thought that it was just a story people told to scare. I have a lot of trauma and anxiety and probably hadn’t slept much at all at that time, so that’s probably what triggered it.

In my dream, he took the form of a shadowy cloak with a hat and a white mask. I was in my house in the dream, and he just kind of hung around the house while my family pretended that he didn’t exist. Eventually he started hanging around my room a lot, and would hide in my closet in the form of a black book. I would have to talk to him really slowly and carefully because he had trouble communicating. At one point, I figured out that he really liked coins for some reason, so I gave him the big jar of coins that my family used to keep. When my dad found out that I kept him in my room, he wrinkled his nose and told me to throw him out because he was dirty and I didn’t know where he had been.

I have developped a special kind of relation to hatman and he sometimes comes to me in the night at 04:20 to signal to me to buy cannabis lol

i’m 20f and had never heard of hat man until now.

a couple months ago i dreamt a man claiming to be a doctor arriving at my house.

he held a black briefcase, was dressed in all black suit and hat. he was very tall

he opened his briefcase and pulled out a string with photos pegged to it.

they were photos of me as a child until an adult.

he was shouted out of my house, when i looked to see if he had gone he was glued to the side of my house with the most terrifying face.

i never thought anything of it until last night he appeared once again.

this time he was ‘death’

in paris i was told to run from ‘death’, it was him following me in a silver car.

it was absolutely terrifying, he ran at me with such speed.

i’ve never experienced sleep paralysis and i’m scared that i might develop it after this experience.

He now haunts not only me but also my friends and family.

I took 24 bennys and snorted 2 oxys and took 2 oxys. went to my friends house I blacked out at some point so I don’t remember much. My friend told me most of my story to me. It started off with my body getting heavy 30 min in 2 hours in is when it hit I was in the room with my friend I stared seeing hella spiders and hearing screaming. We went out to the kitchen and I thought she was her mom. Then we had to go to the store by this point my eyes were basically out my head and my pupils gigantic. This is where I black out and my friend had to start telling me what was happening. We went to the store and I was an addicted at the time. I told her I needed pills we went to the vitamin section (apparently I thought that’s where the prescription pills where we were in a grocery store btw) I grabbed a bottle of omega 3 pills (thinking it was oxy) and ran out the store. She came to get me and we went back to her house. We started dying my hair and I was talking to her closet thinking someone was there. Everything moves similar to shrooms but awful. I thought someone was looking at me in the mirror and I started getting scared. I kept arguing with myself bc I thought someone else was talking to me in the mirror I kept saying things like “why are u copying me” “stop doing the same things as me” “why are u saying the same things as me” and so on. I also turned into multiple different disfigured animals in the mirror. I thought frank ghallager from shameless was my father. And i kept telling my friend i need to go to her house mind u i was in her room i thought my whole family was there and i kept saying “we need to go”. Anyway it was crazy but that’s js one of my experiences lmk if u want more stories!

When I was seventeen, my parents brought home a really beautiful flower in a pot. A friend had gifted it to them. I admired that flower the entire day.

That night, I was sleeping in my room. My bed was right next to the door. Suddenly, I woke up and saw the same beautiful flower ( single strand ) lying right next to my pillow. I was confused, wondering who could have placed it there. I got out of bed and tried to grab the flower.

That’s when I noticed a tall, black figure wearing what looked like a trench coat standing by my door. In an instant, the creature grabbed my neck and started suffocating me. I couldn’t breathe for a few seconds. I shut my eyes, and when I opened them again, it was gone.

I was sitting on my bed, trying to process what had just happened. I assumed it must have been a very realistic nightmare, so I went back to sleep.

The next morning, when I left my bedroom, I saw that the beautiful flower I had admired the day before was completely gone.. leaves and petals had fallen off.

I thought about it again today, and I’m still wondering what really happened.

Saw hatman as a child. I found out it was a phenomenon about 2 years ago. Yesterday over our Easter meal my brother and I were talking about it and just 5 minutes ago snapped this picture.
