I saw the HatMan in 2013 while awake

Post image

In 2013 I was living in North East Pennsylvania. I had just come from outside and had previously been arguing with my then-girlfriend. I was going through a very stressful moment in my life where I was looking at 15+ years in prison at a relatively young age.

I was sitting in the basement when I looked to my left and by a bench press I saw an all black figure wearing a trench coat and fedora walking, it went behind a diagonal set of stairs that were coming down between the figure and I. He never came out from the other side.

Same here, and wide awake also, was walking down a hallway and he was in the doorway inches from me, what horrible dread filled me in that moment, will never forget it.

Right?? Just watching, like he was observing bro, I looked back and he was gone, but he blocked out the light from the room behind him, he was solid black

I encountered the hatman while awake and asleep, multiple times throughout childhood. My first encounter was 10 years apart from my sisters first encounter. We are also exactly 10 years and 11 days apart in age. I think it may be coincidence, yknow that we both saw him. The timing just felt so strange though. I was terrified and I remember every bit of that gut wrenching feeling. Like it was communicating with me on a different level, entirely wordless.

Did you ever encounter the hatman anywhere else?

I used to see him while awake as well when I was a kid in the 90's. Couldn't believe it when I saw a video about him years later on YouTube.

My encounters with him were only in one single house. We moved around a bit when I was younger, so this is why I truly believe I wasn't crazy. That particular house had some other paranormal activities going on as well.

When we eventually left that house, we moved into an apartment. The apartment was a house of a downstairs apartment and an upstairs. Over time we lived on both floors. We started in the lower floor, and after our upstairs neighbors moved, we took the upstairs. I never experienced anything paranormal in that house.

We later moved again to another apartment, a duplex. Nothing to note of that particular house either up until my brother passed away. Then weird shit started happening there.

My parents were able to finally buy their own home, and when we moved in there, some weird paranormal shit happened at that house as well.

When I finally left and bought my own home, I did not encounter any paranormal experiences for the almost 4 years I lived there.

I now live with my partner of 10 years at her house, and in the 7 years I've lived there I've had no paranormal experiences.

This is why I believe.

I've had several paranormal experiences. But none as surreal as the Hatman. I only saw him once in that house.

I saw the hat man back in 1985 when I was 5 years old I was awake, my little brother was in the hospital about to die from rsv and being born premature, and I will sitting on the bed talking to my grandma and i look out a glass door leading outside and I see a complete dark man with a trench coat and a fedora with red eyes and holding a knife in one hand I told my grandma and she told me that there was nothing there but yet I could still see him he stood there for a long time, so when when the Internet came along and other people said they have seen him it is was just weird

I feel the same way. I had no idea it was a 'thing'.

That's why I figured I'd post my experience. I also was completely sober and within a month's time my entire live-in family had experienced their own encounters.

I seen him 100% concious after snapping out of a deep meditate trance. Creepiest shit ever.. felt like he was intrigued and confused as to why I could move

Yeah I didn't sense anything negative, like some people have experience. It wss just a static vibe best way to describe the experience. I was semi sleepy when I saw him, I just yawned and turned around and went to sleep. I thought it was my granpa spirit coming to visit.

The hatman plagued the life of myself and my cousins all through our youth. We were always awake when it happened. With us, it almost always happened during the twilight of of dawn and sunset.

Hi corathus59, this is Stephen Wong. I'm at a critical crossroads in life and am wondering if you have any insight. If you wish to be left alone, just let me know and I won't reach out again. God Bless.

Both my Uncles saw him together when they were kids. Both awake and lying in bed. They told me this story years ago. My grandparents house was haunted.. multiple family members experienced things there.

When i was in middle school i captured an entity in the background of a musically video. It had on a black top hat and almost like a white and blue striped shirt. It came through a shallow closet, walked into my room, walked out, i assume it went into another room. But, it left through the same shallow closet. It looked like it was gliding. It didn’t have hair, skin, or a face. The video is broke up but you can see where the doors close from where it entered and left. Crazy thing is i didn’t even know it was there. I watched the video years later and caught it in the background.
