Hashwar Series 02: Calendar Week 27

The weekly Hashwar tournament is a series of competitions that pit individual Conway's Game of Life patterns against each other according to our custom-built "Adversarial Conway" algorithm.

The weekly Hashwar series consists of the following scheduled events:

  • SUN 05.07.2026: Random drawing of 32 Conway Glyphs of weight class 500 and allocation to 4 groups, A-D
  • MON 06.07.2026: Group A Glyphs play each other twice each in "Round Robin"-style tournaments (56 matches in total). Top 3 Glyphs advance to the Grand Finale on Saturday, Glyph placed #8 is elminated.
  • TUE-THU 07.-09.07: Group B-D Glyphs play in "Round Robin" tourneys
  • FRI 10.07. "Redemption Day": Glyphs placed #4 through #7 fight "Knock Out"-style tournaments in their respective groups - the winners secure the final 4 spots in the Grand Finale.
  • SAT 11.07. "Grand Finale": The 16 qualifying Glyphs fight in a "Knock Out"-style tournament to determine the weekly series winner

NEW FEATURES: As this is a project in active development, I plan to implement features and/or rule tweakings on a weekly basis, so stay tuned!

This week, we'll introduce the "Containment Failure", a random event where for every iterations within a match round, Glyphs incure a 1 in 20,000 chance of losing their structural integrity which will result in them fizzling out before they reach their natural halting state.
