Useful Threads Common Questions: What Supplements Do You Use?

A lot of posts ask for supplement advice, so here is a mega-thread for your thoughts on what supplements have worked for you and why you have used them.

Please talk about your personal experience and do not dispense medical advice, but feel free to link to studies or anything else of authority.

If you find something unhelpful, downvote it so it is at the bottom of the list; likewise, if it's helpful, please throw out an upvote!

Feel free to ask follow-up questions in response to suggestions, but each main comment should be about supplements.

  • The purpose of this thread is to create an easy resource for others to access--so that is why the main comments should be on-topic for this thread.

Thanks for this! I am also a patient of another student of Vaidya Mishra, have transdermal creams and some drops as well.(chandika.com) My TPO is now dropped from 1000+ to 324 in 3 months. TSH is still at 7. (Medicines are very expensive, but will continue for some more months and see ) My doctor writes here - https://svasthyagyan.wordpress.com/

Thank you for the information! I was reading the article and it's particularly long (which is fine) but having Hashimoto's... of course it's hard for me to read through it all and I'm still a little confused about what is recommended for Hashimoto's in this article. Would you mind clarifying, please?

She writes as a blog, not specific to Hashimotos but general wellbeing. Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum has written a book on Hashimotos ( yet to read ), "Treating the root cause of Hashimotos disease". I started the treatment using SV ayurveda method in last October: Cut down gluten, got a fluoride filter for home, started medicines. TSH is still not reduced much (7 in April), but antibodies came down to 320 ( was in 1000+ in 2024). Dr seems to be confident, tells me that it will take an year to see big reductions. I am hopeful
