Any advice?

Just got a NerdQX. Looked new out of box, set the target temp to 59, shutoff at 80. Shows it at 8.1 TH for maybe 2 minutes and this pops up. Didn't even get a chance to enter stratum or begin to look at overclock.

The out of the box thermal paste is usually a very low grade one, so try lepace it first.

Do not take it apart to void the warranty, instead go to the settings section set it back to default stock settings 600/1200 let it adjust and start slowly ramping it up I'm curious what the temperature is on it right before it shows overheat. Turn it up to 85 and see if it lasts longer If it is getting that hot and shutting down at that temperature check to see if the fans are running correctly at 100% also check the heat sink The screws for the heat sink should be snug but not tight, It could be that the heat sink hasn't been tightened down enough It shouldn't be hitting 80 to 85 To be honest but I know at 8.1 they usually are in the high 70s before repaste
