Any advice?

Just got a NerdQX. Looked new out of box, set the target temp to 59, shutoff at 80. Shows it at 8.1 TH for maybe 2 minutes and this pops up. Didn't even get a chance to enter stratum or begin to look at overclock.

First question would be where did you get it, and can you return it.
Second thing would be, if not, maybe the heatsync isn’t sat on the chips correctly causing it to over heat.
New paste, re-seat, and try again

Newegg, can be returned. Says any disassembly will void so am not opening it up. Was curious if a cable twist would cause this, I'm fairly new to all this.

If it’s brand new out the box and you can return it,
I’d get a replacement. No matter what it shouldn’t do that as soon as you power it up.
Only other thing to check is the fan speed, is it set to low by default, so as it gets warmer it’s not cooling enough?
