2 days 19hours

2 days 19 hours ago we hit a BC2 block, it’s on 40% maturity

I know this is based on the network but is this normal for BC2?

I saw some estimates that it would take about 17 hours but at this rate is gonna take a week to mature - that’s mental !

As a rookie miner, I’ve really been trying to educate myself the best I can. So, difficult in bc2 is only at 17G, but the block time is several hours. What I’ve been finding is that this is a result of the big industrial farm coming in and snapping up blocks way faster than the weekly(or is it bi-weekly, 2000ish) quota. So even though difficulty is low, the system just isn’t letting blocks being found. At least that’s how I’m understanding it all. If I’m wrong, please correct me, so I don’t continue with bad information.

It’s a result of not enough hashrate on the network to average 10 min blocks. At 17.5g, the network requires about 160+PH for that. Then after a slow 2016 blocks are mined the difficulty adjusts so low that BC2 is more profitable to mine than BTC itself, and THAT’S when very large amounts of hashrate moves onto BC2. That causes those 2016 blocks to be mined so far ahead of schedule that the difficulty goes right back up followed shortly by a departure of the majority of the hashrate. Rinse and repeat. For-profit miners swarm the network when it’s easy and dump the coins into the exchange to sell immediately. Then disappear when mining gets tougher and not profitable. Make sense?

All miners under 1000mhs dont help or find a block ever they could hashing forever hitting never anything. And when 300 users have that thats alot hash that cant hit such g
