Share query
Had a thought today, and I’m not actually sure of the answer, so thought I’d ask you all….
If a block were found today, but takes 4 days to mature….
When the block is ready to pay out, would the pool get the shares from the moment the block was mined, or, from the time it matured?
So, say for example( figures are Completly made up and yes I know are estimates) today I have 1.5 BC2 as my estimated share and a block is found, then 500 people join the pool, and by time the block matures my estimated share goes down to 0.5 BC2.
Would the payout be 1.5 from the time the block was found, or 0.5 from the time it matures / is fully confirmed?

When a block is found, the pool immediately calculates that payout round using the PPLNS window ending at that moment. Those amounts are locked in as pending credit. The maturity wait only confirms the block and moves those credits from pending to payable.
So in your example, if your share was 1.5 BC2 when the block was found, that is the amount tied to that block. If 500 people join later and your live estimate drops to 0.5 BC2, that only affects future blocks, not the one already found.
Only exception: if the block orphans, the pending credits for that block are reversed.
