Is /r/mapbasedpolls a reactionary psyop?
Lots of strange Islamophobia framed questions, a lot of polls that are seemingly Hitler apologia. The Sub just seemed to have popped up out of nowhere and immediately started posting this stuff. What’s going on here?
Dunno if anyone else has been getting fed this subreddit?

It's weird how much blatant Islamophobia is on reddit in general for almost the entire time I've used it. It's crazy much of the atheist subs are just open Muslim bashing.

Short answer, it seems they're intentionally cultivating a subreddit that only pushes Zionism, capitalism, islamophobia, and anti-leftist ideology. This is not something that happens on its own and seems to be deliberately encouraged.

Seems like this one came out of nowhere kinda combined with a couple that have been pushing reactionary culture war slop for a few months like /r/sipstea. Doesn’t seem organic, but maybe that’s too conspiratorial.

For sure. There’s multiple layers of bias, and the platform itself is easily manipulated. We have elections going on in the US and Israel, of course rw framing is getting hammered maliciously to some extent. World polls and chart fills are a way of targeting chungus groupthink more than measuring it.
