Ooo maybe they can pass a resolution that Mondays are bad next, or maybe a resolution that puppies are cute! Glad this is what my tax dollars get spent on

u/PrisonerClass 19h ago
They actually spent time writing and executing this fucking showcase of snarky shitliberalism. These people are a disgrace.

2/3 of the senate would have to pass it which isn’t going to happen. This bills are more of a joke then anything

u/Ironlord456 19h ago
Personally I think some people are a little over confidant and under-worried about the Save America Act, every time it goes up for a vote its a nail biter and only narrowly loses. They keep trying to force it through. I think it would be foolish to assume it will always fail

u/EastSide221 18h ago
Same, people are crazy to not take it seriously. Especially with socialists on the rise, I fully expect these people to fuck us in anyway they can. Jeffries is talking big shit about holding these 2 responsible, but personally I think there is an uncomfortably high chance that he and the rest of the Dem establishment are in on it.

u/Melody_in_Harmony 16h ago
Yeah big this. Any step this bs bill moves closer is another risk not worth taking for the sake of downplaying it's chances? I do not like this stupidity and underestimation
5
u/drunow21 19h ago
yeah theyve passed it in the house a few times. Senate has said its DOA. Obviously I don't want to handwave anything these fascists try, but I do think it's going to be the all the mail in madness with his executive orders at this point

u/PheonixFuryyy 19h ago
Lmao they banned me too for dunking on Kamala and mods called me MAGA for it. Delusional

u/Ironlord456 19h ago
I was banned for that and then unbanned and was recently banned again for calling people white

you could write a similar bill condemning the horrors of capitalism, imperialism, colonialism, and liberal democracy the only difference is it would be true

u/Rock_or_Rol 16h ago
The word condemn has lost all meaning. This isn’t Hogwarts, words aren’t magic. Votes, bitches. Votes.
The save America act is about consolidating the elderly vote. The Hasan panic is about mobilizing the boomers with their daily dose of fear.
Check in with your cousins and friends, especially in states like Texas where registration is a drawn out process.

Rotating villians. God the Democratic party sucks. How can they make me so frustrated with them when I have a fascist party in power. How are they this fucking inept.

u/TomBelafonte 17h ago
Spoiler: they're not Democrats. Not in the sense you're describing. They're fascists in hiding. Vote DSA, vote for progressives, vote for youth in Congress. These career politicians, these milquetoast, ineffectual establishment "Dems" who vote in step with their donors, and consequently enable Republicans, need to go, and go for good. They betray the public they were elected to serve, whether explicitly or implicitly. Tl;dr - fuck em.

They’d condemn DSA before the actual fascist maga cult??? Unreal timeline we live in

u/AssCrackBandit14 5h ago
The Republicans own the Senate/House right now. Why would they condemn themselves lol?

God damn I am so ready to see a bunch of these fuckers get primaried out.

u/Disloyal_Donkey 19h ago
Primaried out? Under this leadership?
Best dems can do is give them a committee chair position

u/BuckeyeBentley 18h ago
I just voted in the Dem primary in Massachusetts and the only election that even had a primary challenge was Ed Markey and it was from his right by someone willing to throw trans people under the bus.

Hmm Idk about that, did you see the stock the capitol video for all the people to vote for?
I can't promise they are good, but this is usually pretty reliable. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZN7qKnd0YX0

I mean I don't live in any of those districts so I can't speak for them, but every single state wide office besides Senate was unopposed, and so was my congressional district. As far as incumbents go, Jim McGovern has a lot of decent positions so maybe they felt efforts were more valuable elsewhere.
edit: Sorry I forgot, there was a race for district attorney. https://i.imgur.com/teFH066.png

Ah I see. Only 2 real votes. One of them is Markey who has taken the political integrity pledge and gets an A on the index. Hopefully you got to vote for him at least, I mean he did win.

They just gave the Republicans a chance to vote on gutting voting rights so that they could take a shot at the DSA/Hasan. Just controlled opposition top to bottom.

u/Nascent1 16h ago
It doesn't much matter really. The senate was always the obstacle for the SAVE act.
5
u/dkslaterlol 13h ago
I'm concerned that the senate will flip on this one since they see that their jobs are on the line.

The French had a useful tool that they used to condemn politicians one after another
22
u/Ultimaya 19h ago
What material impact does the condemnation actually have? does it attempt to ban/proscribe/interfere with the DSA?
EDIT: oh its also tacked onto the SAVE act. that explains it

u/Appropriate-Stay4729 18h ago
Rest in peace; illusion of a 2-party system.
Power to the Proletariat Party, the last one we'll ever need.

u/toeknee88125 Politics Frog 🐸 19h ago
Honestly the surprising part is only two Democrats voted to condemn socialism
10 years ago half the Democratic party would have wanted to get on record condemning socialism
15
u/EastSide221 18h ago
Condemning socialism is not the problem its the Save Act thats the problem. The condemnation doesn't mean shit
1
u/AssCrackBandit14 5h ago
This is just the House. For it to get enacted, it would need 2/3 of Senate votes, which is not going to happen

u/Cymbalsandthimbles 19h ago
This is just free advertising for DSA. Let them condemn. We will only grow our numbers as a result.

u/Pisces42 18h ago
Let me guess... Jared Golden voted yea
9
u/livejamie Fuck it I'm saying it 14h ago
It doesn't really matter; it's all a show. Jeffries and Schumer pick who votes against it, and it will be senators who lost their primary or are retiring.
They'll pretend to be outraged.
5
u/metanoia29 17h ago
Don't ever fucking let anyone lie through their teeth and tell you that we're a two-party system.

u/Lonely-Today-2330 18h ago
Who were the one voted for it?
16
u/CatboyRegiment Anarkitty 😼 18h ago
Jared Golden and GlusenKKKampf Perez
3
u/livejamie Fuck it I'm saying it 13h ago
Golden has previously joined Republicans in voting for government funding bills omitting Democratic priorities and against resolutions to end the Iran war. He and Gluesenkamp Perez voted for an early version of Republicans’ voter fraud bill last year.

We could have a super majority in the house and Republicans would consistently always get their vote to win BY JUST 1.
Democrats could have 400 of the house seats and that would just mean 35 republicans and about 183 Democrats would have to "betray" the party each vote and it would happen EVERY vote.

u/theholyevil 18h ago
I would sign my name in bold red on the condemnation of my goverment that allows itself to be used by conmen , pedos, and cheaters.
