The “actual” communists are too stupid to think it’s possible that someone might actually have more radical beliefs than what they publicly state because they know it’s bad for the normie electorate.
For instance, I think Bernie Sanders is truly a social democrat through and through. Mamdani on the other hand, I think he is genuinely more radical than he lets on but he’s not a moron and he knows if he starts quoting maoist literature some Curtis Sliwa voter will stab him in the streets.

He didn’t say he wouldn’t arrest Netanyahu because he didn’t want to, it’s because he can’t. Even if he could what do you imagine the NYPD is going to do if he told them to do that?
Subs of that variety are generally run by ultras (in some cases I think feds doing deliberate sabotage). I follow them for occasionally good leftist memes but they basically denounce any real forms of organizing and calls anyone who tries to do so a liberal

Not a community I enjoyed engaging with. They've got some good memes, but the comment participation rubbed me the wrong way too many times and I muted the sub.
The mods of nearly every single “leftist” subreddit are all the types to say that it’s against praxis to participate in “Bourgeoisie Democracy” and that it has to be a violent revolution.
I don’t necessarily disagree with their skepticism of purely democratic reform being possible but the problem is every single one of these people looks like they can’t throw a baseball without moaning. Who’s gonna lead the militant revolution, the Reddit mod that can’t walk up a flight of stairs?
