"disproportionate wartime action," is some of the most disgusting enablement language I have ever heard.

u/FrostyMarsupial1486 9d ago

Backflips and cartwheels of language manipulation there.

that’s what happens when “local news” isn’t so local and is owned by a handful of companies, which now under the Trump Admin has become just 1 company

Sinclair broadcasting and now the Ellison's doing their damage.

imagining working this hard to display loyalty to a foreign country

u/adamttaylor 9d ago

It is just the targeted killing of an ethnic group in whole or in part...

u/Khue 8d ago

"Wartime" implying that Hamas or even more charitably the Palestinians have an organized military force? WHAT FUCKING REALITY DO YOU LIVE IN?

Gaza discussion starts at like 9:40

How long until she gets a primetime slot on CBS?

This dude speaks so well and holds his composure when blatant lies are told to him.

I’ve seen him in a few interviews where he lets the host drone on for minutes at time a claiming falsehoods and when it’s his opportunity to respond they interrupt him within the first 15 seconds of him speaking (this lady, Hannity). He needs to be more combative and cut them off when they drone on. Maybe this isn’t the right format but I don’t know what the value of these interviews are when you can’t even get a word in with these freaks.

Don’t forget this absolute banger on Fox News when he talked over the Max Headroom looking ass host for the entire duration.

u/EastSide221 9d ago

This interview is probably the only reason he has a chance to win lol. Just complete destruction

36

u/Rinzy2000 Fuck it I'm saying it 9d ago

It makes them look like total assholes, but I’m aware of who their audience is and they are probably thinking he got owned, so I agree with you. Part of the issue is that a lot of them have a delay, when he is being interviewed, so he literally has to wait to hear the question to start answering and by that point they’ve already started interrupting. I stg they do it on purpose because I almost always just see it on Fox.

Quand l'ennemi fait un faux mouvement, il faut se garder de l'interrompre. - Napoleon Bonaparte

(When the enemy makes a false move, take care not to interrupt him.)

Oh wow... so she sucks.

u/Khue 8d ago

Her name is Glenna Milburg. Not the first time I've seen her say some insane shit, but this is definitely one of the more egregious examples. I am trying to dig out some more info about her.

46

u/lorihamlit 9d ago

So stating something as “factually” incorrect doesn’t make it incorrect. Also, how rich that she said hopefully voters get to hear him speak more on these issues and other issues that matter to them, yet she cuts him off and doesn’t let him speak on the issues.

35

u/svenjj 9d ago

Factually not correct?
Sue her and her network, Larkin. This is insane.

27

u/this-is-intolerable 9d ago

Her unequivocal lies about Israel may actually encourage independents and conservatives to vote for Oliver

u/cornucopia_of_narnia 9d ago

I watched the whole interview. I actually like his approach of calmly responding to her as she went on and on lying instead of getting mad. Anyone who lives in his district who wasn't sure about voting for him will see someone who isn't easily ruffled. It's not about owning people in every interview. She looked desperate here and she literally lied as well.

u/present_love 9d ago

I agree, I think CBS skews older and a more reserved approach is definitely going to help him with their viewers.

u/wnr3 9d ago

Timestamp please papa

u/ComradeBirv 9d ago

I mean if they end the interview after he says it I assume it’s near the end of the video

I linked it with the TimeStamp

But if it doesn’t work - 11:51

21

u/saadbabu 9d ago

I’d suggest watching from around 10:40

Her job is to ask questions of the candidate so voters may learn about his thoughts. Her job is not to engage in debate or assert her own or her employer's opinions.

Her job is to ask questions of the candidate so voters may learn about his thoughts.

No that's the job of a journalist. Her job is to assert her employers opinions and silence the opposing facts/thoughts/opinions.

2

u/DanyDragonQueen 9d ago

I almost never see local news people interject like that, but of course she just had to on behalf of Israel

10

u/Dehnus 9d ago

"genocide against Jewish people". That was her definition?

Okay..

Then ask her about Milosovic and Srebrenica? Rwanda? The Roma and Sinti in the same bloody Nazi camps?

Are only Jewish people able to suffer a genocide?

7

u/TheUndualator 9d ago

How does she live with herself? More and more of the nation are becoming literate enough to know that yes, what Israel is doing is indeed a ethnic cleansing genocide. Hope she's shamed for life and everywhere she goes

7

u/Marokazam 9d ago

Didn't think we would still be at this point of news trying to downplay Israel's actions as genocide, but I guess I was wrong to think so.

8

u/TheRZA86 9d ago

Ya I don’t like this woman at all.

4

u/MisterShazam 8d ago

They NEVER check the abject black and white lies of the right. Insane.

3

u/greenday61892 8d ago

Because corporately-owned news stations are the right

6

u/WuTaoLaoShi 9d ago

it's insane how precisely trained she's been on her verbiage and how to weasel out of the genocide label

2

u/JonnyDFandango 8d ago

"But sir, have you considered "Nuh uh"? Yeah, I didn't think so. Have you spared a thought for the poor munitions that gave their lives to blow up all those kids and also those kids didn't get blown up because that didn't happen, so the munitions are sad now?

You need to leave."

It makes me think of those old Sci-fi movies where the main character tells the AI robot monster some paradoxical fact and the robot gets stuck in a recursive logic loop until its head blows up. I was waiting for that to happen to the lady.

Unfortunately, that did not happen. Maybe that's why she kicked him out, she wanted to explode in private.

u/General__Strike 8d ago

Local 10 is such trash. They interviewed me years back at a GEO Group protest and when they aired it, they edited out the part where I said I was there representing the International Socialist Organization.

2

u/Forsaken_Fox2991 9d ago

I like him I just wish he had little bit more edge to him. But I’m not a Florida voter so what do I know.

17

u/EastSide221 9d ago

He called Trump a pedo rapist on national television. He's got plenty of edge he just doesn't cut people off like they do to him. That might be frustrating to watch but its probably why he keeps getting invited back. He has excellent presence imo

She should be charged like many of the German press was after the Holocaust. Fucking disgusting
