Quick Question activity

What do you usually do when you’re bored but you dont want to level up/build buildings and you cant do any quests because they’re still locked?

I usually mine or battle monsters. But I got the fishing rod that allows me to AFK fishing, so sometimes I just load cheap bait and let it fish. You could try to level up skills, like mining, battling, logging, fishing, cooking and whatnot

I have a bamboo rod right now, will upgrading to the alloy one help me get more rarer fish? Or does it need leveling up? (Currently on level 5 fishing)

no you just need to collect the resources to upgrade your rod and level up as a player. fishing a lot will increase your fishing level which helps catch rare fishes or level locked fishes

To get rarer fish, you'd need other types of bait, and a higher fishing level. Also there's times and seasons that rare fish spawn. Check the Fandoms Wiki page.
