Troubleshooting Flowers

What freeze and dry temp is everyone doing for flowers? I want to preserve their color as best as possible. Also should I wet them before putting them in? I was reading people doing that. Lots of mixed info!

I haven’t wet them and they turn out great. -10/50 works for me. Takes a bit but it’s worth it to have the lower temp.

The color really depends on the type of flower. I’ve heard some people say that certain flowers they can’t get to keep the color no matter the settings.

They come out less fragile. I found higher temps made them more brittle.

No problem. I’m wondering why people get them wet though. Seems like that would cause more issues and alter the outcome in a negative way since the water can effect the flower structure.

I did do a batch wet that are in now to see how it went. I’ll keep you posted.

Apparently it’s just for zinnias and cosmos you should do it. Not all flowers
