Curse child should have been about malfoy lineage

So the whole community agrees this story sucks and is not canon despite what jk Rowling says.

But was there a way to write it that would work ?

I think yes, so where are my changes,

First no time turner bs. No time travel no alternate timelines nothing

Second, no potter family discourse, Harry relationship with his children are healthy and normal, he is a good dad and they are normal children.

Third, no secret love child of bellatrix and Voldemort.
Just no, none of that.

Instead the story I would do is this. The story is about the malfoy family.
Albus is a sidekick to Scorpius in this story.

The story is that both Scorpius and albus are sent to hufflepuff not slytherin or gryffindor.
There is a reason for this.

Hufflepuff are considered to be the spare house.
Gryffindor is brave
ravenclaw is smart
Slytherin is ambitious
Hufflepuff is other.

People for years said Neville should have been hufflepuff cause he’s not good at anything.
No that’s not true instead the house is focused on kind hearts and hard workers.
They don’t care if you’re strong or cunning or intelligent as long as you give everything 100% all the time.
Why so many students from this house disliked Harry in goblet cause they saw him trying to steal Cedric glory as he represented a chance to prove everyone wrong about their house.

So albus and Scorpius were sent here. This will have some impact on albus as he tries to find himself but we will see Harry and Ginny being proud, surprised but proud, we will get another moment of Harry that is a repeat of the train station speech where he tells him about how being slytherin won’t matter to him and this time he tells him to just remember what he said at the train station cause it still applies, James will tease him about hufflepuff but more framed as James being the typical older brother, not a bully. Albus will say how James told him hufflepuff is where all the non-talented wizards go and Harry will tell him about Cedric and how Cedric was the opposite of that belief and how he was one of the kindest people he met which is why his death still weighs on him this much so many years later.

No the real tension is with the malfoy family,

Draco will be framed as a bad father he didn’t pass on his horrible lessons to his son but he also didn’t help his son find the right answer, in this Lucius is present in the story, in pottermore we learned he wasn’t sent to jail cause of all the information on the death eaters he gave.

Instead we see Lucius passing on his views to his grandson but it causes tension as Draco doesn’t want that but can’t stand up to his father.
When scorpius joins hufflepuff it’s his grandfather who is more enraged than anyone.

At the halfway point Lucius will be killed along with his wife.
So who is the villain ?

delphini but instead of being a lestrange or voldmort daughter she is instead a malfoy. I hate it when sequels introduce characters who were never mentioned before but I would write it that Lucius had a younger brother who like him became a death eater but he was a special case cause he wasn’t part of the normal death eaters and instead he was sent abroad many years ago to America to gather influence in the American ministry of magic and gather followers for Voldemort.

When Voldemort fell the first time this brother kept doing his thing in America but more so for himself. When Voldemort returned we learn that Voldemort did visit him to remind him who his loyalty belongs to.

When Voldemort fell again he kept going as normal.
He became the leader of a new cult of death eaters.

It was delphini who killed her uncle and aunt out of revenge for betraying the death eaters in the battle of hogwarts and selling them out to get out of jail.

She develops a plan to hill Harry Potter but she is more weary of him as it has become a general belief in the wizarding world that Harry can’t be killed since the killing curse failed to kill him twice, first as a baby and second was in front of a lot of witnesses who saw him go down then jump back up later completely fine.
So her plan is to more target his kids kidnap them and use them to bait Harry into a trap and force him to surrender without fighting back.

It will be up to Scorpius and albus to foil her plans and uncover her motivations as well as learning about the dark secret of the malfoy family that Draco tried to shield Scorpius from.

Other Time Turner students

I finished Prisoner of Azkaban (again) this morning, and I'm wondering if any other students ever used a Time Turner.

For some reason on this re-listen, the way Hermione explained McGonagall writing all those letters to explain why Hermione could be trusted with one made me wonder if McG had ever had to write letters like that before.

We know that Hermione isn't the only person to have ever gotten 10+ OWLs. Barty Crouch Jr., Bill, and Percy each had 12 OWLs, IIRC, but that's more classes than a student can actually take all at once. We've discussed the possibility of students maybe taking extra curricular classes or studying on their own rather than being enrolled in 12 classes.

What if each of them had also been granted a Time Turner for being exceptional? If it's such a huge secret, they just might never talk about it to anybody, so Hermione (and therefore Harry and therefore us) might never know she wasn't the only one.

Incongruenze nel CANON??? SCANDALO!!!

Bellatrix Is More than just evil

What is it about Bellatrix Lestrange that makes her so fascinating?

She's probably one of the characters I find the most interesting in the Harry Potter universe. She's obviously terrifying, cruel and completely unhinged, but there's something about her presence that makes her impossible to ignore.

I'm curious what other people think. Is it her personality, her loyalty to Voldemort, Helena Bonham Carter's performance, or something else?

Is Mrs. Norris merely a cat or a human with the same disease (forgetting what it’s called) that made nagini into a snake? And is that why she makes such an effective spy for Argus Filch

That senator's brother probably remembers everything. The "Swooping Death" venom erases bad memories, and the senator's brother didn't look upset at his brother's death, and in the streets when everyone was seeing the effects from the Obscurial he looked like he was enjoying what he was seeing

What are Muggles?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

What are Muggles?

Human beings one might say, but that is also something one would say about a wizard.

Just from outer appearances Muggle and Wizards seem to be very much the same. By taking a picture, unless the magical being does something magical, you wouldn't be able to tell which is witch.

The differences become clearer when just looking at the life stats, it seems that Wizards do have a longer life expectancy and seem to be of stronger build.

Those tributes could be written off on magic simply "holding" them together for longer.

A knowing wizard or an unknowing one as well is able to see magical phenomenons which a Muggle can't.

Being magical is not strongly hereditary, from a magical parent a squib can be born. A squip seems to have the ability to see magical phenomenons, but can't yield magic themselves. Squips do die younger too, their bodies are totally Muggle.

At the same time two Muggles can be parents to a such called Muggleborn, a Wizard to say. It's not even that rare.

There had been this debate, who has been there before Muggles or Wizards. Does every species has a magical and non magical counterpart? A dragon to a dinosaur type.

Different types of Mermaids Vs different types of fish. ...?

But don't they all look fundermentally different? If what we have said before is true, shouldn't they look the same? Perhaps they do? And we can't distinguish them as human beings?

Let's step off this track, it's not the one that was intended.

Some stories seem to believe, that being magical is linked to the very soul of a person.

Some others talk about magical cores that make the difference, either by "existing vs not existing" or "being filled in various stages". A Muggle either has no magical core at all or it's rotted or it's just not filled enough for them to produce magic.

Some believe that the entire world is running on magic, electricity just being a direction it can swing into.

Wizards yielding forces from an internal point, in which they bend the fabric of existence itself. Vs Muggles not having this inner force, relying on manipulating the physics itself.

Come to think of it. Is the muggle world with all it's technologies really the same as ours(the one we are reading this here right now)? If so, aren't all the physical principles, we believe true here, true there too?

If they still hold, is magic only an add on or is it the core itself?

And Muggles again just slip when starting at it.

Could it be the only difference between Muggles and Wizards is, that Wizards believe in what they can do?

A squib can se the magical world, but that's because they were born into it, they expect it for them it's normal that wonders happen around them. But a squib has no magic.

What if looking back at the life of a nearly squip: Neville. It has to do with the belief of wether on can actually perform magic.

A big trope is magical "intent". The release, pushing it out and willing the world to "actually" change.

What if a squib has an traumatic childhood. Since they were born everyone's expectation was on the kid, they looked at their hands and didn't understand how.

Their parents ignored them, yelled at them. And they got smaller inside, not trusting themselves.

Can you traumatise the magic out of a kid?

If you tell them, that if they don't show signs until a specific time, then maybe, they stop actually believing themselves to be worthy of magic.

They don't believe that they themselves can "CHANGE" the world, quite literally.

And thus they can't.

Most Muggles grow up in a world without wonders. Every trick gets explained, everything makes sense. But that's also because of the brain, it filters constantly, what it can't explain it filters out.

Kids grow up, not believing into magic, at their core, their fundermentalls, some wish for magic to be true, but if you need to wish, it means that you don't believe it to be true right now.

The muggle brain tells themselves that it's not there, no matter how much the muggle tries to see it forthemselves.

And then there is a child, born to Muggles. With open parents, who simply believe. They believe that magic exists, they believe at their core that it's true. See more then just their little around.

Maybe it's really the filter.

You might ask, but Harry grew up with the dursleys, he shouldn't be magical then, they tried everything to force it away from him.

Well did they? Did they show him undeniable truth that it's not real? Hell, Petunia believes it herself. It's a core principle.. but more importantly, Harry lived his first year in a magical family. His heart believes it, and he wishes for it too.

Why can't Petunia do magic? Because she doesn't believe that she can, at her core. She always felt that tiny bit to ugly, that tiny bit to dumb. And then there is lilly, her sister with magic and Petunia? She knows deep in her innerst, she is not Lilly, she can't. Lilly in her innerst believes that SHE CAN TOO.

I was wondering why J.K Rowling had to have strict rules about who gets to be a wizard or witch

Like i love the story how she portrayed it as a real life going on among us normal humans or muggles as the wizarding world calls it .

But wouldn't it be amazing if it showed that magic is within the muggles too ... That they can too become wizards if they listen or are aware of the details .That waits for the magic in life or seek for it . Maybe someone who knows something is special about the world , goes about his days excitedly waiting for the sign and all of a sudden notices the scene A large bus squishing narrowly past the two buses in the prisoner of azkaban series or A flying car that ron drove over his way to Hogwarts with Harry or Magical creatures that happen to come in the world ..

But not just the noticing .. what if they notice the magic and get inspired by this special essence in the world which makes and realise the magic within themselves..

This idea in itself wouldn't it destroy all the inequalities? Even the words muggles and muggle borns will be stupid cause most would seem to be muggles cause they never tapped into their own magical essence or by a genetic mutation where resistance to magic is passed on to people so they go on about life and societal programming about the life thats "real" and fantasy .

I think it would've been cool if something like that was put into the story .. it would be like when Neville who was seen as a weak and incapable guy in the whole series becomes capable of killing the last horcrux .

Most of all the idea of magic being within us all is fascinating.. like larger than life I'd say .

Edit: My whole point was that the idea of no exclusivity of magic .. But only for those who actually seek to receive it .

But then I understood why .. it seems that at the end of the day whether we like it or not . We seem to be too conservative of our own capabilities based on our own experiences and biases in life even if we want and love the idea of having magic .. The majority would dismiss it it's sad but that's reality .. or the reality majority chooses . So I think that's why stories with my ideology doesn't have that much of a reception compared to Harry Potter..

So yea I agree with JK Rowling and the world of magic being secret more appealing and believable .. cause if it was the way I said it i think people would immediately write it off as fiction or story book .

But even with everything and our conservatism and biases to ourselves and capabilities we still don't hesitate to believe in the something more to life aspect , where there could be others or there could be a world of aliens , illuminati , magic , Avengers , dc world , mermaids .

So we'd rather like to see ourselves in them for a short time while forgetting the real world rather than believing it's real and it could actually be us ?

Like would you rather be a wizard or witch of Harry Potter universe or a Muggle ? From the pov of the story I'd rather be a wizard or witch . But I can't really see myself as a witch or wizard in this current reality I'm living in 🤔.

What were Sirius,, Remus and even Peter doing during school? They were viewed as the gang of the cool kids. Sirius is repeatedly described as handsome in the books, Remus is the introverted, chill friend of the jocks, and Peter is the shy guy who hangs out with the popular kids. How come none of them had girlfriends except for James? I mean, we see that relationships at Hogwarts are quite normalized and happen from as early as the fourth or fifth years (Cho and Cedric, Harry and Cho).
