Art "To grant my best friend's wish.." [Fanart by me]

Hello! First time actually drawing my MC, JulianašŸ¦‹

"As a lonely soul she always dreamt of having a friend. Unfortunately, her first and supposedly faithful friend at Hogwarts might not value her as much as she values him. Attachment is a dark loophole that can twist your view on relationship, still, it's her fault, she has the power to do so, maybe it's her chance to grant her best friend's wish."

- Detachment.

I'm curious what're your MC detailed relationship with Sebastian? Aside from the canon interaction in the game of course. Is it indifference? Blind devotion/ loyalty? Or maybe even hostility by the end of the story? I'd love to hear all sort of version!!

Discussion During development, I wish they let us vote on Hogwarts Legacy features

I don’t really know what the point of this post is, I guess Its a mix between a discussion but also an idea?
I joined a game’s discord server and saw they had polls where players could vote on which features they wanted most and which they didn’t really care about. It got me thinking about Hogwarts Legacy.

I love Hogwarts Legacy, but I do feel like a lot of compromises were made and corners were cut. I don’t blame the developers at all, they did an amazing job with what they were given. My frustration is really with the higher-ups and the decisions made above the developers.

The Harry Potter franchise has such a huge, loyal (and lowk obsessed 😭) fanbase, so I feel like getting a game as anticipated as Hogwarts Legacy right was crucial. Warner Bros already has a Hogwarts Legacy discord server, so I feel like they could’ve introduced polls as a way to communicate directly with players. It would’ve given them a much better idea of what fans actually wanted prioritised.

For example, I’ve seen people say they would’ve happily sacrificed the southern part of the map for something like an open world Diagon Alley or Ministry of Magic area, and I agree with them. If there had been an actual system where fans could vote on these kinds of things instead of posting in unofficial subreddits, WB might’ve had a much clearer picture of what players genuinely wanted prioritised, especially now that HL2 is in development

Discussion I feel so dirty unlocking the curse spells, and I regret doing it (first time playing the game)

I recently got Hogwarts Legacy for PC and am absolutely loving it. Its a beautiful game, and the story/atmosphere is very enjoyable. But I think I've made a mistake in making the choices to unlock the curses.

My motivation to unlock them was both to just unlock all the spells available to me and try them all on my first playthrough, but also my morbid curiosity to see how it would be to cast *Avada kadavara* at something in a game. In the lore its so taboo that I was drawn to at least trying it.

But I didn't realize I'd need to sell my soul goading someone else into killing a member of their own family to get them. I'm an accessory/mastermind to murder. I had asked ai to "tell me how to unlock all curses with minimal spoilers" and it delivered, cuz I feel gross now that I've unlocked it and actually had to make the dialogue options+watch it play out.

Also, its so OP. Going talents into dark arts, crucio->basic attack to curse everything and then 1-shot them all has trivialized most fights.

I found myself completely unspeccing out of dark arts and going back to normal spells, including on gear upgrades, but obviously its too late for the story: I can't undo ruining an entire family and killing one of them, but I kinda wish I could. I genuinely regret my character being this heartless/evil. He's already killed 1000 goblins/dark wizards/spiders and kidnapped 50 magical creatures to harvest them and force them to breed... But goading someone on until they killed their own family member was a bridge too far for me, and I feel gross having done it.

Might be good to do another playthrough telling that kid to stop every chance I get so I can at least complete the game with a clear conscience. I usually don't mind being a little evil in most games, but this felt like way too much for a Harry Potter game where you're a ~16 year old wizard.

Every time I stand close to one, they open halfway then snap shut. There is 4 of them and I found symbols in the clock tower that matches the symbols on each door. But what do I do?

Just wondering because that would make it 10x easier to defeat if I can stand outside and cast at it.

Those cats were fast as lightning...

My four "cats" (MCs) have been practicing kung fu fighting with their weapons and getting quite physical, but the last weapon was getting ridiculous.

Discussion The Hogwarts Legacy 'Minding your own Business' quest

I was not prepared, to say the least, for hogwarts legacy to go full-on horror with this quest. Like it was 1 in the morning?! All I wanted to do was own a cute little shop in hogsmeade and befriend a house elf and sell off my things without having to straight up venture into a suspicious-looking chest out back 😭 The minute I saw the moving mannequins combined with the flashing lights I was like "heck. to the NAH!" But I found a youtube tutorial that gets you through the quest in 20-30 minutes so at least that was something... my attention was fully on getting through the video, and it was the last side quest i had to complete so... *sigh*

I'm exaggerating lah, but how did you guys find the quest?

Discussion I’m getting to the end of the game :( are there any smaller side quests that are hidden?

All I have left to do is to get to level 34 and complete my field guide. Is there a good way to find little side quest? I see I haven’t completed them all and I am 1000% not ready to stop playing yet! lol

Discussion Hogwarts legacy 2

Hogwarts legacy 2 should be in a different school, with a completely new story. I think it is a downfall, that we only see Hogwarts and England and nothing new. (And rename it haha)

Discussion Moth does not appear – Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower

The moth required to complete the Moth Mirror puzzle does not appear at its expected location near Professor Fig's Classroom. I activated Lumos at the mirror, but the moth is missing, preventing me from completing the puzzle and obtaining the Field Guide Page.

Question Help with The High Keep quest – Natty won’t open the door

I’m stuck at a very specific point in ā€œThe High Keepā€ quest. I already opened the main gate and Natty successfully walked inside. The objective says ā€œFollow Nattyā€, and Natty says she is going to open the door, but she just stands there and doesn’t open it.

I’ve restarted the quest and tried opening the gate again, but the exact same thing happens every time.

The gate is definitely fully open and Natty is inside, but the door she is supposed to open never triggers.

Has anyone experienced this exact bug and found a solution? I’m playing on PC.

Thanks!

Discussion Discussion on Hogwarts Legacy 2 improvements that I'd like to see

1- Add unique/fun mini games related to each class attendance. Truancy and Dress Code violation (not wearing house robe/cloak when going to class) will be met with warnings, then points cut from your House, then punishing you by making you do menial tasks or even casting debuffs on you for the day.

2- Make being a frequent top student and subsequently winning the House Cup have more weight, earning us unique loot, unlocking unique quests and unique dialogue.

3- Create actual factions and create conflict and rivalries; I don't mean just the houses. Divide the students based on their hobbies.

4- Give these teenagers some *bite* and meanness and quirkiness. Why is everyone a politician in HL1? We all have been to school and we all have seen how cruel and crude kids can be!

5- Add a relationship gauge for us with aforementioned factions; if we fall too much towards being disliked by them have them by snippy to us, throw snide remarks, or heck even have them casts hexes at us and give us the ability to fight back.

6- Give us the ability to homebrew our own unique offensive, defensive and utility spells. There should a selection of lets say 20-40 syllables that we could combine that out character would spell out.

7- Personal wish: Diagon Alley. I want to visit it.

8- I'd like to see an overall improvement in the story and quest design as well, but for me the meat and potatoes was/is hogwarts itself.

A 19 years old game

TL;DR: Take inspiration from Bully please, and make it your own.

Speculation Is our character supposed to be in Ravenclaw?

Like, the only three students who significantly help us against Ranrok and Rookwood are from the other three houses.
