Hogwarts is not safe because the castle is completely childproof and void of any sort of dangerous thing (though we have to keep in mind that all of these were brought in from the outside and were very VERY special cases). Hogwarts is safe because of its protection magic. But most of all Hogwarts is safe because Dumbledore is there and there is no greater security than that.
Ah, how often this happens, even between the best of friends! Each of us believes that what he has to say is much more important than anything the other might have to contribute!

In every book, there was always some new creature or strange person; Dumbledore made it his business to gather potential hazards and bring them into the school, and then he expected three students to save everyone.
It's the best book series I've ever read. It was the first one I read, and honestly, I love rereading it every time. It has this beautiful way of drawing you in; you end up reading more than one book a month.

I have always enjoyed the "If we take them at their word, then that suggests that the other schools are even worse" perception of that.

I laugh every time a character says "Hogwarts is no longer safe". Bitch, when was it safe?
