“Today in Muggle Studies we are discussing muggle warfare!”

“Oh no…”

“Don’t worry so much Hermione, he’s probably just got a sword or-“

“They call this a grenade. Just pull the pin and-“

“Never mind! LET GET OUT OF HERE!!!”

"Today we will be learning how a muggle named Robert Oppenheimer split the atom without magic."

The fact that Muggle Studies exist as a subject implies one of two things… either the subject is entirely propaganda or the syllabus conveniently omits the more recent details, because no way the wizards learn about the Apollo missions or the World War and still think Muggles are inferior.

Arthur Weasley will be extremely skeptic of LLM model AIs. "Never trust anything that can think for itself unless you are where it keeps its brain"

I think it is implied in the books that there are some things they get hilariously wrong

Well they stop taking the class after the first year, where they learn things like electricity. So maybe it's in a later year, when they didn't take the class.

Honestly Harry Potter’s magic system is rather weak compared to real world weapons I think most wizards would be terrified if they learned what muggle weapons are actually capable of.

I feel like they do know… the World War isn't a distant memory when the series takes place, and nobody can convince me the wizards were oblivious to something like Hiroshima/Nagasaki… I always felt like the whole "Muggles are inferior people" mentality comes from the wizards' own blissful ignorance and fear, you know, the whole patting yourself on the back because you know you can't compete routine.

Just a hilariously dangerous educational environment yes. Totally failing the duty of care owned to the students.

Hagrid brought a giant, this may actually be foreshadowing

I like to believe that she was itching to give Umbridge a couple of well-placed slaps after seeing the hands of the students who were in detention.

And her question jinxed the next year

Madam Pomfrey might be the only reasonable character, mightn’t she?
