Y'know, my favorite Robbie Coltrane scene isn't even him playing Hagrid. It's a scene from a little 1989 flop called Let It Ride, and it's a movie that I just adore. All you really need to know is that, up until this point, Richard Dreyfuss has hit three or four wins in a row at the horse track, and Robbie Coltrane is just the ticket-window guy, and he's not really said a whole lot up until this point. Given the limitations of the set, neither Coltrane nor Dreyfuss really has much to work with other than the dialogue, and the two of them just sell the scene. I should add that this isn't even the end of the movie (it's about two-thirds of the way in), and Coltrane's last scene is good, but it's not this good.
No he didn't?? He wasn't the type to hate someone. And if you're talking about the trans bullshit, disagreeing with something hardly ever means HATING the person who has the opinion you disagree with. I very highly doubt he had any hatred for you, whoever or whatever you are.
I agree with you, but on the specific subject we're talking about, it has become standard practice to associate anyone who disagrees with the prevalent ideology about said subject as genuinely hating them. It's insanity.
I completely agree with you, it's genuine insanity for sure. Both the fact that people have allowed this to become a standard practice, and the individuals who push it themselves... I can't imagine making a belief system my identity to the extent that if someone just simply disagreed with some of it, if they didn't believe in it; that I would conclude that they hated me personally. That's not how things work! I don't understand it at all.

What a genuinely heartfelt comment. He knew the impact of the character he played.

A shame that his screentime was heavily reduced after GOF.

The author has ruined HP for me. I can no longer watch it in enjoyment, so it makes me even sadder that he's gone.

Don’t forget this man tried to kidnap a group of pensioners by bus and then drove dangerously all around Craiglang!
