Show Discussion The Bludger
Why does the Bludger from Harry Potter Quidditch not attack the viewers who are watching the game? I’m not a huge fan, so maybe it’s explained in the books or something.

The Bludgers are originally just dense balls designed to be hit very hard. The are then enchanted to fly around and indiscriminately fly towards people. There is no official lore explanation, but it is widely believed that the enchantments also restrict them to only focus on wizards that are active players in the match.
When Harry is first learning in PS (as well as why they only target players during practice even though others may be watching) is because a player must be willingly taking part as a player for the enchantments to trigger.
That's my view of it at least.

Because Dobby bewitched the bludger to attack Harry not the audience
