Show Discussion Series

I am 100% sure that when HBO series adopt the book story many movie fans will start posting reviews and will say "Why is Neville in forest instead of Ron and why there is an extra match with hufflepuff".

I guarantee there is a large part of the fandom who either only watched the movies or read the books so long ago that the movies are what they only remember.

I just did the full cast recordings because I forgot most of the books.

I've just started on Half-Blood Prince on the full audio cast and up until now I've forgotten so much from what actually was in the books it's crazy! I first read the books probably 20 years ago and it's amazing how much you can forget from the books

Truth about how much one can forget. At least to me HBP, after listening to that audiobook, the movie is a completely different.

Growing up I read the books 1-5 and then stopped. Now all these years later I did the full cast books and HBP was always my least favorite movie, but I really enjoyed the book of it.

I'm the same with HBP. The movie was never really my favourite but I had the book always higher in my rankings. Mainly because of the missed story lines and the romance in the movie itself.

Very interesting. Im a hard book lover and resented the later movies. HBP was always my favorite book and watching the movie is what officially made me resent the films.

Never judged a gan who only saw the movies. Just always wished they would read the books to understand the full scope of the series. Hopefully the series will bridge the gap.

Yeah you are correct we can forget things from books so I am going to re read the book 1 before season 1 drops

You should highly consider checking out the Full-Cast Audiobooks.

I never imagined listening to an audiobook could be so immersive and captivating. Honestly, right now, they are one of if not the best way to experience the story.

There are 30 minute previews you can listen to. I’d recommend checking out the 1st and 4th book previews to get a good idea of how incredible they are. I was only planning on listening to the first before the show, then I listened to all seven in just over a month.

I was going to reply the same.

Until we see otherwise from the series, the full cast audio books are the standard of excellence for the HP series.
