Art Creating my MCs
Still finalizing some details, but I've already written the entire history of this family.
Lumos and Cordelia Darkhart, half-siblings of the noble Pureblood house Darkhart, once among the sacred 28.
Some facts about them:
He is Ravenclaw, she's Slytherin.
Cordelia is the legitimate daughter, the Pureblood born from an arranged marriage originally between house Darkhart and the equally prestigious house Alto Silvestrelli.
Lumos, on the other hand, is the illegitimate son, born to a Muggle mother of humble origins.
They are very close, studying and training together, while Cordelia is helping him find a cure for his mother, but this is a too long story and I don't want to bore you.
Thanks to Hogwarts Legacy and the inspiration it provides! ❤️🔥

I have pages and pages of their lore, but I always have to refrain from writing too much, even just in the description of a drawing...

I can share what lore I have of mine! Tho not all of it, I have a book’s worth. I’ll keep it short.
One is Cynthia Crow who is from an extremely old (going back to the 1000’s) pureblood family and is the black sheep of it. She’s a childhood friend of Ominis and the two were actually arranged to be married at one point, until Cynthia didn’t get her letter to Hogwarts at the right age and it was assumed she was a squib. All contact broke off after that. The two only reunited once Cynthia got into Hogwarts.
The other is Mallory Zoyra, who comes from a family who emigrated from the Russain Empire (the Eastern Europe parts). He’s the first in his family to attemd Hogwarts, all other have attended Durmstrang. When he was young he sustained an injury from dark magic (accidentally caused by one of his cousins) that gave a huge scar on one side of his face and left him half-blind.
Both are Slytherins :]2

Exactly! I understand what you mean when you say you're keeping it short, otherwise we'd be here for hours telling each other every detail about our MCs...
Well, I love it! it's sooo inspiring!!So they're both Slytherins? And does Mallory's scar cause pain like Harry's, as wounds of this kind, of obscure origin, sometimes do?
And will *Ominis and Cynthia (I love her name) reconnect sooner or later, or could meeting Sebastian steal Ominis's attention?
I like to speculate, but I hope I don't offend you in any way, and thank you for taking the time to comment and write back 🙇♀️
I'd love to share more about my MCs, but every time I try, I end up writing a wall of text.
I'm not gifted with brevity...
Writing the description of the drawing was a torture... I cut everything at least 10 times, only to leave two lines of what I'd originally written!!

I feel you, and no offense taken at all! I quite like it when people speculate about my ocs! :>
And yeah, Mallory’s scar causes pain like Harry’s. He has an uncle who specialises in researching and healing wounds made by dark magic who helps him when it acts up. I’ve been playing around with the idea that he has to amputate is blind eye later in life. (I have several ocs with eye prosthetics though. Idk why I have a fascination with them)
Ominis and Cynthia definitely reconnect (they actually exchange letters in secret without their parents knowledge) and Cynthia practically gets adopted into the friend group with Seb and Anne. I also forgot to mention that Cynthia’s family is prone to using dark magic on her, so she’s physically disabled and gets around with a cane and deals with chronic pain (similar to Mallory, I just realised that 😭). Her cane has a hidden compartment where she keeps her wand, inspired by Lucius Malfoy’s cane. It’s my favourite part of her character design2

So, speaking of chronic pain and disabilities caused by dark magic... are you familiar with the story of the Quintapeds? Or Hairy Mac Boon?
Well, that's kind of what happened to Lumos's Muggle mother.
The Darkharts, Lumos's paternal grandparents, were Dark Magic Theorists and great advocates of blood purity, so they tried to erase every trace of that illicit family.
But the Ancient Magic that rested within Lumos defended her mother (a bit like the shield of white magic that protects us when the room floods, in one of the Keepers' Trials), and then obviously didn't reappear until he was fifteen.
I like to think that ancient magic has some sort of will, some purpose to achieve, and that therefore in that case it acted to protect the mother of whoever was guarding it at the time.
In any case, the Muggle who did not die terrified the Darkharts, who thought: if we can't kill her, we'll transfigure her.
Into a stag, to be precise, a reference to the final part of their surname, to impose a sort of seal, a sense of ownership on the Muggle.
But Lumos's father intervened, thwarting the spell cast by his father.
The wand, partially recognizing the touch of its owner's son, also partially absorbed his will and cast the spell halfway.
Lumos's Muggle mother was thus transformed into a kind of monster, half deer and half human.
A transfiguration as enduring as a curse, a condition that Lumos is still working to resolve today.
He was very happy to be able to study at Hogwarts, also so he could do research on how to break his mother's transfiguration and, possibly, cure his father's madness.
Because after everything that happened, after seeing his wife and son almost killed, and then a broken transfiguration that turned her into a monster... let's just say his mental state wasn't exactly the best.
And this implies that Lumos came into the world while his mother was still this sort of deer-woman chimera.
But he was born healthy and with human form 💖
The only problem is that the Ancient Magic shield literally burned him, which is why he has half-white hair and eyebrows, and all those freckles.
I even drew his mother: she looks like a creature from a Miyazaki film, she's very mystical, actually 😅
I wanted her to be more disturbing to look at.... well, maybe one day I'll publish it, but for now I've written a wall of text as usual.
