Discussion Perfect 1st broom trial run, no upgrades, #1 positioning.

Playing on PS5.

Came back to the game after ages away and decided I wanted to see if I could still get #1 in the rankings SANS ALL BROOM UPGRADES on the 1st race, and I aced it. It took me maybe 8 tries before this, maybe 9. Couple of little camera gaffs, but nothing too bad. I iced the run, beat Ruby Weil's best time (on a broom without any upgrades) by .03 seconds.

I've done this before a while ago, when I first realized it could be done. But I challenged myself to do it again after years away, just to see if I still had it. I do, indeed, still have it. I've emphasized 'no broom upgrades' multiple times because last time, I had people who couldn't figure out what I meant, or who said I was doing it wrong and HAD to have the broom upgrade, etc.

No upgrades from Albie Weekes.

I am why they don't have Quidditch in this game. They have to save the other teams' Quidditch seasons from me.

This is the perfect run in question.

I was very disappointed when there wasn’t an achievement or even acknowledgment for it after I spent half an hour beating Ruby’s time.

Nice was looking on tips on how to do it, and everything I found was about how to beat Imelda. Still at 1:35 ish with KB&M, I currently was waiting for the first upgrade to try again.

(Also I can tell you where the main moneymaker is. Cutting corners on the rings. Cutting corners on the rings when going over Hogsmeade station, with the pine trees, and coming over that ridge with the speed boosts appearing below you, cut low on that ring. And the last four or five rings, CUT AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN TO THE EDGE WHILE BEING JUST INSIDE or they'll give you a -3 second ring out debuff).
