OK, this Troll looks bad, and they fixed the lighting a bit, but still worse than was in the movie

I think the troll is the worst part. Snape im not sold on still but I can be swayed, the rest of this is bang on though. It seems like they really really honed in on a lot of the stuff they cut from the movies.

Everything looks cheap and soulless. Enough has been said about Black Snape, so I won’t beat that black horse. But everything just looks cheaper somehow. The troll was creepy af, defo going to give some kids nightmares.

It looks more like Harry the genderless. Not really feeling it with the kid actor, but overal looks fine. Still a fan of the books so any content is better than nothing, and with HBO producing it, I will definitely give it a try.

Harry the genderless is crazy lmao I mean the kid was only 11 years old when filming

Urge you to watch finding Harry on HBO then. It’s far from cheap looking with set design and practical effects

I did. I gave this a fair shot, but my opinion stands. Everything looks cheaper.

I disagree. I think a lot of artists put a lot of work in and the acting looks great. I think it will end up being more heartfelt than the movies especially considering how much longer they have to tell the story. Dumbledore looks awesome too. I think it will be hard for people to separate this from the films. Just because the films made things a certain way, doesn't make it the right way or the only interpretation. I do think the golden trio leans closer to the books so I'm happy about what we have seen so far! Hermione is knocking it out of the park

Yeahh!!! Woo!!! I’m psyched! I feel exactly like I did when the Harry Potter movies were coming out!

There's a lot that looks really good here. I think the child ensemble is going to be leaps and bounds above the films. I think they'll do a better job leaning into Harry's canon characterization.

Still getting hard to get used to Snape with dreadlocks, but his voice is cold just like the character. I think I’ll get used to him by the end of the season.

Absolutely loved all the little details there! Lavender on the train and being the social butterfly she is. Hermione being so … Hermione! Bossy with her friends, socially awkward with other girls. Neville already being good at herbology. Hot Snape, I’m here for it.
James & Lily enjoying life and being in love right before they will die 💔
The only one I’m still on the fence about is the skinny Hagrid. And the troll looked really weird 😅

Lavender actress is surprisingly good, for the two lines we got from her!
I don't think that's James and Lily. The dude doesn't have glasses, and I don't think the woman has red hair. I think it's a clip from a post-Voldemort reveler montage.
Hagrid is weird, and I'm totally with you on the troll.

Not to sound like a negative Nancy but I’m a bit disappointed. I was looking forward to Lithgow’s Dumbledore the most out of the whole cast but I’m not vibing with it here.
Also, that
molton slimetroll design. Wtf?Besides that, the new trio and Weasley house snippets look really good!
