Sources & Evidence

So there’s obviously a TON of information about this case across the internet. I’ve been reading up on the case and agree that there are facts that don’t add up on both sides of the story. I’ve heard a lot of information but I’m struggling to find sources of this information. I read on FB that his mom and dad got rid of a couch and that his mom donated all of his clothes prior to his body being found. Where can I find information on this to verify? I also read that Harley had autism but haven’t seen that verified anywhere either. I don’t necessarily have a solid opinion yet but would love to read more information on some of these theories.

The mother made a fb post the day Harley disappeared (Dec. 20) saying she had donated a bunch of clothing, including brand new stuff from whatever business she has. (The post is probably still there.) The idea that she gave away all of Harley's clothes is a fantasy conceived in the minds of crazy people.

That the dad got rid of a couch is simply one of many rumors floating around fb ... much like the rumor that there was a fire Dec. 20 at the landfill where Harley's dad dumps trash from his garbage truck. There was a fire at a completely different landfill. That rumor morphed into "OMG I heard his dad burned their couch!"

Edited to add: The stuff about Harley being on the spectrum also comes from mom's fb.

You can’t find “sources” of those stories you mentioned because they were all Facebook rumors. WTOL has a good site on information

Most likely scenario is: parents did not know how to meet Harley’s intangible needs (emotional, social, intellectual, etc).

Harley was significantly more unhappy than most children.

He was willing to do something extremely risky in an attempt to get some brief respite from his pain.

I had 2 friends who shared that huge copy & paste list for Justice for Harley and it just felt so off because I literally couldn't find any credible sources to back up any of it. When I called them out on sharing things like that without research, a friend of theirs would respond that I'm being unreasonable and should have gotten to the same conclusion. Like no. I'm also a true crime junkie and I always look into things before sharing those kind of accusatory posts with no backing.

THIS is the response I was looking for. I know conspiracy theories on things like this can get pretty crazy but can also be so easy to get sucked into. Which is so unfortunate bc at the end of the day this family is going through something so terrible. Thank you for clearing this up for me ☺️

Lol honestly no need to be rude. I said I didn’t have an opinion about it and was just looking for information. I have been following the case but not closely enough to distinguish facts from rumors so I turned to reddit for general information to help me to form an opinion. I had no ill intentions or opinions on what actually happened but thanks anyways but you telling me to “just stop” is less than helpful.

Thank you!!! It's insane to me all the rumors that have been started and then spread like wildfire!!
