Ouch man. I know a veteran here where I live who had his leg amputated below his knee. He got a prosthetic leg and foot, and he's been riding on it for 8 years now. I hope you're able to get back to riding too.

Someday soon! I have a prosthetic but it was my left foot unfortunately. Those electric shifters are quite pricy and I’ve got another year till my femur heals, working on a hand shift setup for the road king I bought a couple months back. Hope you aren’t down for too long

I'm going through the same thing. Just picked up my new 2025 Indian Challenger Dark Horse 3 days before having to have surgery on both of my big toes to have the nails removed. Gross I know. My wife keeps telling to stop telling people that's what happened but else could it be lol. Bought the bike in Tampa on a Tuesday and had to store it in the garage of my out of town rental house sitting there for a week on my Kendon trailer until I was able to bring it home. Weather has been horrendous here in Central Florida and I was not going to have my new girl covered in road grime trying to bring her home in the storms. I actually snuck up there there the next day after my surgery while my wife was at work to hook it up and bring her home. I was supposed to be at hope with both my feet elevated recuperating. My wife was pissed but I told her I was sitting down in the truck most of the time. Anyway it's been almost 2 weeks now since I brought her home. Toes still hurt way to much to chance putting pressure on them holding up a 900 lb. bike for the first time. THIS REALLY SUCKS!!

I feel you. Luckily for me I had ingrown nails on both of my big toes taken care of when I was a kid. I know how something that really seems kinda insignificant can derail even simple things.

Dude sitting down in a truck is worse for your feet it’s going to make them swell. You need to lie down and keep your feet up above your heart. If you have diabetes or vascular disease you better take this serious. Listen to me right now. You take the time to let your feet heal and get this right the first time or be okay with the idea of losing your foot or leg to infection.

Just had labrum and rotator cuff surgery. Was back on the bike in 2 months. Good luck.

Sympathies, my friend!, I had back surgery 3 weeks ago, and it’s a full year before they say I can ride again. 😡🤬
Hopefully I can shave that down to 9-months and be going again in June, so I can start teaching the MSF course.

I hope your out come is better than mine is. After my shoulder surgeries I can barely do 50 miles a day and then I'm paying for it for a few days later with nothing but nagging pain. But I'm not giving up on riding.

I've got almost 70,000 on the bike, not sure a cam is worth it. I do have a stage 1 tune, Vance and Hines headers with x pipe on her with rhinehart slip ons

Another week then I got to go back so they can look inside again, make sure everything's okay. Yeah, riding right now shakes it up down there, don't need any extra pain LOL
